Introduction Osmania University has released the official notification for OUCET, also known as CPGET, the common PG entrance test conducted by them. To be able to appear for the exam, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in the same or related subject with a minimum aggregate mark of 40%. The exam will be online computer-based. You have to answer 100 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each within 90 minutes. The OUCET application process remains open from 30th July to 12th September 2021. However, to avoid late fees you should apply within 28th August. If you apply for only one subject, you have to pay Rs. 800/- if you belong to the General or OBC category, and Rs. 600/- if you belong to SC, ST, or PH category. You can apply for multiple subjects. In that case, for every additional subject, Rs. 450/- have to be paid. The participating institutions are Osmania, Palamuru, Mahatma Gandhi, Telangana, Kakatiya, Satavahana Universities, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and their affiliated colleges in the state of Telangana. The degree programs you can apply for through OUCET are M.A, M.Com, M.Sc., BLISc, MLISc, MCJ, MSW, M.P.Ed, M.Ed, etc. The exams will start on 18th September and end on 27th September.


OUCET Eligibility Criteria Nationality Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Qualification •To apply for the exam, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in the same or related subject with minimum aggregate marks of 40% or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying exam. •Com graduates are not eligible for M.A. Economics. This course requires B.A. with economics combination as a prerequisite. •Students from B.E., B. Tech., B. Pharm. etc. backgrounds cannot apply to M.A. in language courses. •Pharm/B.Tech/B.E./LLB(5 years)/B.C.A. candidates are suggested to go through the eligibility criteria for the specific post graduations they are opting for before applying. Because they vary from course to course for these streams, unlike most of the B.A./B.Com/B.Sc. courses. •Pharm. / B.Sc. (Nursing)/ B.Sc. (MLT)/ B.Sc. (Ag) / B.E./ B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Home Science) Graduates are not accepted in OUCET M.Sc. courses. However, B.E./B.Tech graduates may apply for M.Sc. Geo-Informatics and Food Science & Technology. AGE •There is no age limit in OUCET for self-financed courses. •The maximum age for fee reimbursement for SC/ST/BC is 34 years. •The upper age limit for PwD/EBC/Minorities is 30 years.


OUCET SO EXAM SYLLABUS Like most other PG entrance examinations, the OUCET syllabus for all the subjects in the syllabus of your degree course. In this section, we are mentioning the syllabus and marks distribution for some of the interdisciplinary subjects and diploma programs that allow students not only to graduate with that subject but also from various other backgrounds. Needless to say, the standard of the questions from any of the topics in the papers will be of UG level, except in Integrated Programmes of 5 years. OUCET SO EXAM PATTERN OUCET exams in all the subjects will consist of 100 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. Each of the papers has to be solved within 90 minutes, except for the Integrated MA in Applied Economics, which has a duration of 2 hours with the same number of questions and the same total marks. There is no need to worry about negative marking in any of the exams in OUCET because there aren’t any. The papers will contain any 3 or 4 varieties of items such as analogy, matching, classification, comprehension of a research experiment/study/ theoretical point of view, etc. The questions will adhere to the syllabus and difficulty level specified by the conducting body for that topic. For some courses— like M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Genetics, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Biotechnology, and Microbiology— the paper will consist of two sections. Part-A will have 40 questions from Chemistry, and Part-B will have 60 questions to check on your B.Sc.


OUCET Admit Card The admit card for OUCET 2021 will be released on their website. You have to download the admit card by logging in to your profile on the official website. Remember the registration id and password— even better, save it in the browser. You will also require to carry valid proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Driving License along with the admit card to the exam hall. These are the steps to download the admit card, once it is released: 1.Open your browser and go to the official website of OUCET/CPGET, which is http://tscpget.com/CPGET/CPGET_HomePage.aspx 2.On the Home page, there will be a link to the OUCET 2021 Admit Card. 3.Open the link and log in with your registration id and password. 4.In your profile, you will see the admit card ready to be downloaded. Go through the details carefully. Inform the authority right away in case of any discrepancy. Download the hall ticket and take several printouts of it.


OUCET Result The result of CPGET/ OUCET 2021 will tentatively be declared in October 2021. You have to download your rank card or scorecard by logging in to your profile on the website. The process is almost the same as downloading the admit card. Both your score(s) and rank(s) in the merit list will be mentioned in your result. Download this result, take several printouts and keep it safely, because the scorecard is highly important for counseling. If you cannot show the result during counseling your candidature will be canceled. You need to preserve the result throughout the entire admission process. So, preserve it carefully. How to Check the OUCET Result? Last year, the result of OUCET came out nearly three weeks after the written exam. The pdf of the result will be available on the official website of OUCET/CPGET. Shortlisted candidates will get into different courses at different institutions in the state of Telangana. This is how the candidates can view and download their results: •Visit the online website of the Osmania University post-graduation entrance test, which is http://www.tscpget.com •A notice containing the link to check the results will be there on the Home page. You have to click on it. •The login page of your profile will open. Enter with your email id and password, and check the results. •The results(s) will be listed subject-wise (in case you had appeared for more than one subject). Click on each of them to see your performance on that subject. •The result will contain your score as well as your rank. Download it and take several printouts. Keep it safe until the whole process of admission completes and your class starts because the rank card is going to be needed in each of the next steps.

A new webpage will open. •Click on “New Registration” and provide basic details like name, DoB, valid mobile number, valid email id, number of tests to be taken, etc. •At this point, you have to complete the payment. •You can make your payment through Net Banking/ Debit or Credit Card/ UPI. Only online payment will be accepted. •Only after payment, the registration will be complete and you will receive an SMS and an email with your registration id. You will require this id to log in to your profile and proceed further in the application process.

You have to go to the official website of the exam, complete registration with email id and password, pay the application fee online, then log in again with the newly generated registration id and fill up the main application form. But the exam name has officially been changed from OUCET to CPGET (Common Post-Graduation Entrance Test) in April 2021. Yet, people still commonly refer to it as OUCET out of habit.
