Turn the page and discover Fiction, Lifestyle, Politics, Stage & Screen and much, much more… Welcome to Director’s Picks, featuring a very special preview of The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival this autumn. This year’s theme of Dreams and Nightmares ranges from Blake and Coleridge to Frankenstein and Dracula, exploring the literary power of the unconscious and our enduring fascination with the supernatural. Our Guest Directors head up some fascinating series: Kevin McCloud explores architecture and design, Will Hutton investigates finance, China Miéville shares the best of future fiction, Mary Beard brings to life ancient Greece and Rome, and Owen Sheers puts poetry centre-stage. I look forward to seeing you in October, Sarah Smyth Artistic Director, The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival PS: Not a Member yet?
