Can be used to remove dirt, dust, swarf and to degrease all kind of surfaces such as old paint layers, transport primer, other primers, metal (steel, but also aluminum and galvanized pieces) and plastic. To remove rests of tar or glue we recommend to use a solventbased degreaser, or use DGR in combination with SBR, but for all

Blue fired open coated sanding grit

The aluminium oxide grains are reinforced by heating up to 1200°C (blue fire process) and are open coated glued with two glues, finished with a white sterate coating that ensures that the sanding material (resin) cannot “fill up”. The larger the sanding grain, the deeper the abrasive track and the rougher the rendering. The finer the grain, the smaller the abrasive track and the finer the rendering. The grain size is internationally subdivided into categories, the so-called ‘P-values’. This is the only standardization that exists for sanding materials. The grain which is best for a certain use is determined by the lacquer manufacturer. The coarser grains are always used in preparation and the closer you get to the finished state, the finer the sandpaper. In other words: the coarser the grain, the quicker material is removed and the finer the grain the easier the abrasive tracks can be covered by spray and/or polishing work.
