About Me
A
s for me, metal crafts design means that artisans use metals as creative
materials and apply various techniques to create works with senses of reality and beauty.
Since childhood, I have been fascinated with accessory because of my grandmother. She loves to collect and wear various accessories to present her disposition and I always enjoy discovering impressive and vintage accessory in her jewelry box. She once told me “You do not have to be unique, but a suitable accessory will make you stand out. I always keep it in mind. Thus, I decided to study metal craft design to create more delicate and exquisite works and hope that I can establish my own style of accessory and brand one day.
I have learned metal crafts design for almost a year and I am glad to find myself here. From sketches to completion of works, while the process is not that easy, it is worthwhile because it is necessary to pay attention and patience during each process. Just like metalwork, so do I. Once plain metal has been processed, its value is revealed and soared.
In the following, I will present diverse techniques, including sawing, drilling, polishing, annealing, soldering, bending, forging, repousee and chasing, raising and sinking, and so on in my portfolio.
