While you sleep, essential processes take place in your body:

When you sleep, you move through several ‘cycles’, each one lasting about 90 minutes. During each cycle, the body and nervous system experiences different sleep stages. Each stage is characterised by different neural activity.

Sleep Cycles combines daytime activities that include specific treatments with proper sleep hygiene practices. The goal is to train the body and mind toward natural circadian rhythmicity, thereby achieving day and night equilibrium.

Recover & Energise with Sleep Cycles begins with thorough medical consultations and diagnostic tests carried out by our highly experienced team.

Many people experience problems falling asleep and moving through the sleep cycles into deep sleep. Sleep pressure, which causes you to feel sleepy, is caused by a build-up of the neurotransmitter adenosine.

Adenosine is released as a by-product of the breakdown of ATP (your cell’s energy currency). As you expend energy throughout the day, adenosine increases. With Sleep Cycles, your treatments are timed to optimize energy during the day and natural sleepiness onsetin the evening, which can reduce latency (the time it takes to fall asleep), and result in peaceful sleep. For example, massages designed to relax and activate your parasympathetic nervous system are scheduled in the morning so thatthe sleep pressure builds effectively before bedtime.

In addition to the neuro-acoustic deep relaxation treatments included in your programme, you will also have access to DeepSleep technology in your room. This soundscape accelerates the onset of sleep by guiding your brain wave frequencies to the delta range, so you can fall asleep faster and stay asleep all night.

Your ears never sleep so Chenot Sleep Rooms have been designed in line with a protocol for understanding the interplay between sound and acoustics and their impact on sleep quality. Not only are the Sleep Rooms equipped with technology to transmit the sounds of nature into the bedroom, they have also been designed to mimic the natural acoustic environment of the natural world.

Special panels on the ceiling ensure the sound is refracted as though from trees and leafy canopies – the resulting tone in the room is soft and warm rather than hard and cold, blockingthe vibrations which may disrupt sleep. Optional soundscapes and lightsequences send you off to sleep gently and wake you up as though with a natural sunrise.

FDA approved Nanobionic bedlinen is used during your programme and can be purchased at the end of your stay for use at home. It contains minerals activated by your body heat, which emit far infrared light back into your body, enabling you to recycle and replenish your own energy.
