Drawing is my way to tell stories I have learnt painting for over ten years and am proficient in sketching, watercolour and various media. I have three years of experience in digital drawing and specialise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and procreate. As a strong visual thinker, I always turn my feelings, social observation, and life into illustration. I care about social issues such as minority groups, women's rights, mental health, etc, hoping to express my voice through drawing. Also, I don't limit myself and could work in different styles. Moreover, I am always eager to learn and grow with the group.

NEVER FIT IN Whenever I think that I have found a soul that fits, the more we get along, the more I will discover the difference between each other. I don’t know if it was impossible to piece together, or it has gradually grown into something else. However, it doesn’t matter, we don’t need to find anyone to complete ourselves. Or maybe we don't need to be completed either.

SPECIAL TALENT For some people, it is not easy to open their hearts and minds. They are afraid of being approached and touched in interpersonal relationships, and even though they may look happy on the outside, they are distant on the inside. It's not that they don't like people, they just need more time to understand and accept others.

you're working hard, so are others

When we are going upstairs, we want to get to the top in one fell swoop. The top floor may be our goals, the people we admire, or the things we've been chasing. However, when we're so tired and think that we are going to get to the end and could finally rest, then we realise it's a 100-storey skyscraper and somehow it's still going up and up and up and up, so fast that it seems like we can't get to the real top no matter how hard we try. Then we want to give up. But giving up means we have to walk down those stairs and go back to the ground. But it doesn't really matter. We could keep going at our own pace, slowly, still going up. Maybe we could not see the end of the road, but appreciate the beauty along the way.

Every time I see the unwilling mistreatment, I feel very sad. I am even more puzzled when I read about the review of the victim. Whenever this issue is discussed, there are always voices like "old issues, women's bonuses, women's grievances", but the reason it keeps coming up is that the problem has never been solved. Girls help girls. people help people.

Where the light doesn't shine

HELLO EMOTIONS

I visualize my mood and emotions using a more simple illustration style. Compared with the previous colourful style, I use a relatively single black and white tone. The lines are more simplified, rough, and even like naive hand-painting. Neglecting details, I focus more on the transmission of emotions. These illustrations are like images of my emotions, including my fears, anxiety, expectations, and hopes.

Everyone is an island.

Each of us is an island. We often think that our emotions come from the outside and define those emotions that may cause bad effects, such as fear, dread and anger, as negative emotions and try to draw a line under them. But emotions come from within, so how do you cut them? There is no way to cut, and every cut is self-denial.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

Liars, Lovers This is a poster and icon designed for a theater performance. This play is adapted from "The Game of Love and Chance" by French playwright Marivaux. The man and woman exchange their identities of master and servant to avoid blind dates, but they still cannot resist their fate in the future. Presented in the form of silhouettes, showing that although the two intended to put each other away with lies, they cannot stop their heart from throbbing.

BALRLW Whale In The Aquarium Starting with a whale and goldfish. The whale in the aquarium imagining a wider world outside the glass, where the ocean is so wide but it cannot get out. Do we really have the right to "trap" these creatures?

It is an icon design for an aborigine Facebook page. BALRLW means "go home" in the Rukai language(one aborigine in Taiwan), hoping that the young people of Rukai who have left homes can return to hometown someday. The representatives of the Rukai tribe include hundred pacers (snakes), lilies, totems, and traditional music.

HOMO BULLA Homo bulla —it’s a Latin expression that means “Man is a bubble”. Bubbles are ephemeral, illusory, fragile, but beautiful. Maybe we’re beautiful because we can’t last. Reference/ by Johann Georg Leinberger/ 18th/ Holy Grave Chapel

LUMINATION

These are the flyers designed for the exhibition "Lumination" set in a church. Using the imagery of light, I made two different versions of the flyer. It is a simple design but at the same time leave a space for the viewers to imagine.

CREATIVE ILLUSTRATION

Drawing always makes me so happy and calm at any time, it is like a way to escape reality and create my own world. Every time I pour my feelings into the pictures, I could also hear the colours sing back to me. Art and love are the same things: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you.

HAND DRAWING All the basic training of sketching and painting became the nutrition for me today. However, there is no much purpose when I am painting, and what must be done. I can create and express my feelings easily. I believe when I release myself, I could create something different!

SET DESIGN God Knows Twelve Angry Men Her Solo

As a set designer With a formal background in theatrical set design, I understand the physicality of materials, familiar with tools like screwdrivers, drills, and carpentry, also, I have practical set design and production experience. I am fluent in graphic design, 3D modelling, and illustration using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, AutoCAD and SketchUp. Now, I focus on the connection and the interaction between the space and the body in the space, hoping to develop contemporary artistic expressions of dialogue between various art forms and spaces

God Knows DEC, 2020

219 EXPERIMENTAL THEATRE

"God Knows" is a fantasy or a dream of a mentally ill patient. The script presents the state of taking so many drugs, reality and illusion, life and death, dreams in the dream. From declination to reconciliation, we witness the lovehatred relationship between the main character, Shennong and the drugs. "God Knows" not only portrays the mental appearance of a drug addict but also constructs a reason why modern people escape from reality and embrace virtual living conditions and psychological states instead. The performance is in Shennong’s perspective as his subjective lens. After sneaking into his brain and being stimulated by drugs, he develops a special perception that is usually suppressed and restrained, amplifying the variation of space and time, as if the body is living on the earth, but the spirit has fallen into the universe.

DESIGN CONCEPT The crack is where the light penetrates, hoping that we have the ability to pick up the pieces and put ourselves together after being broken. Melancholia is like having holes in the heart, drugs flowing through it to cure the sadness. Therefore, the stage is actually the image of Shennong’s heart. The pure white and black holes create a clear contrast. The white also symbolizes the original purity of the heart, the cleanness and smoothness of the uninjured, and the human inner peace that we have been seeking. The scene on the upper left stage has a hole like a window, suggesting the pink room at the end of the script, from the initial clinic, home, to the final opening of the scenery, this space has always been the pink room with house number 448. In the end, Shennong, who is accustomed to living in illusions, is willing to return to reality? In the final scene, the scenery was opened, is represents to disillusionment created by the drugs. Ultimately, Shennong had to return to the reality he did not want to face.

Twelve Angry Men MAY, 2020

219 EXPERIMENTAL THEATRE

"12 Angry Men" focuses on a jury's deliberations in a capital murder case. A 12man jury is sent to begin deliberations in the first-degree murder trial of an 18year old boy accused in the stabbing death of his father, where a guilty verdict means an automatic death sentence.

DESIGN CONCEPT Everyone is so close, but they don't understand each other's story and they don't even want to know each other's thoughts. This environment is so noisy and oppressive. Everyone is talking, but no one is listening. What kind of American interior style in 1980? What will happen to the meeting within the court? Starting from these points, I think this space should be very neutral and calm.I want to present a calm, solemn and delicate space based on the background in the script.

We drew the wall pattern: verbena with the flower language justice, and the other smaller pattern represents the balance of justice, but it also looks like an angry face, which is a little fun I added to it.

← Behind the scenic Every change is an improvement to me. In trying to "reproduce and restore" the space of the time, how to add my own contemporary view as a designer is the truth I have realized in this design.

Here Solo SEP, 2019 JIANJUN ART VILLAGE "Her Solo" was a self-created script inspired by the four female characters in Shakespeare’s plays: Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Desdemona in Othello, and Ophelia in Hamlet. Taking part of their characteristics and adapted them to women who oppressed by nowadays social stereotypes. Using the character’s solo, rhythm, and body to create an imagery space, hoping that the audience could see what is under the surface.

DESIGN CONCEPT I choose the white curtains as the main feature in this design. The reason I use this textile is that even though the cloth looks tender and fragile but it is also really powerful, it is flexible and never be truly broken, just like a woman who looks fragile but incredibly strong. The white curtain creates the imagery of a hospital room or a mourning hall, where the characters are rotten in this space. The stage is also like a dream, where women are looking forward to being understood, recognized, and trust. MATERIALS AND THE BODY I start to work with various materials when studying my master in scenography. I try different materials on the body to see the relationship between them. While working with materials with different characteristics, I will just be open and play with them. There are some precious times I found beautiful things that just happened while I am being creative and playful. Sometimes the body leads the material and sometimes the material moves you. Now, I am still working on it.
