THE CROSS ACT AS AN IDENTITY OF THE SITE THAT HELPS TO BRING DIFFERENT PEOPLE TOGETHER TO CREATE A MIXED AREA. NEW ORLEANS IS A CITY THAT ATTRACTS MAY TOURISTS EVERY YEAR. IT IS A CHANCE TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY IDENTITY AS WELL AS LIVABILITY. THE EAST-WEST LINE ACT AS THE GATEWAY FROM THE GREEN CORRIDOR TO FRENCH QUARTERS ALONG THE RIVERSIDE. IT LARGELY EXPANDS THE TOURISM AREA INTO THE CITY COMMUNITY TO INCREASE THE RETAIL CHANCE AND MEETING OF DIVERSE PEOPLE. THE SOUTH-NORTH LINE OF THE CROSS CONNECTS THE COMMUNITY WITH THE DOWNTOWN CBD AREA. THIS CAN ATTRACT WORKFORCE HERE.

IN CHINA, XI’AN IS NOT ONLY FAMOUS FOR ITS ANCIENT RELICS SUCH AS TERRA-COTTA WARRIORS, MING CITY WALL, BUT ALSO FOR ITS SPECTACULAR QING LING MOUNTAIN. LOOK DOWN FROM THE TOP OF MOUNATIN, FILEDS SPERAD ALONG THE COUNTOUR LINES. NATURE CREATS THE MOST SPECTACULAR ART FOR US. THE BEST WAY TO RESPECT NATURE IS TO LEARN THE BUILDING ART FROM NATURE.

LIGHT AN SHADOWS ARE JUST LIKE MAGIC. ATMOSPHERE CHANGES WITH THE CHANGE OF LIGHT AND SHADOW. PEOPLE WILL HAVE DIFFERENT MOODS IN DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE. IN THIS PROJECT, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WALLS AND ROADS, WALLS AND SPACES ARE TOTALLY CHANGED. IT OFFERS PEOPLE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES AND SCENSATION OF SPACE. RESTAURANT CAN BE OPEN INDEPENDENTLY, AND ARE SEPERATED BY A PERSIMMON PARK. THE PARK MAKES THE LIVING SPACES QUIET AND PEACEFUL.

WHEN CUSTOMERS GO THROUGH THE WALLS, THEY WILL SEE THE CHANGES OF ORNAMENTS, THE CHANGES OF SPACES, LIGHT AND SHADOW. WALLS ARE BROKED AND OPEN A NEW PATH.

THIS PROJECT IS LOCATED IN CHANG’AN TOWN, A SMALL TOWN IN THE SOUTH PART OF XI’ AN. IT ALSO ATTRACTS NUMEROUS MOUTAIN HIKERS BYCLE RIDERS EVERY HOLIDAY. IT IS ALSO NEXT TO ZI WU YU, AN OLD ENTRANCE TO QIN LING MOUNTAIN. TAOISM IS POPULAR THERE SO THAT THERE ARE SOME TAO TEMPLE. PERSIMMON THREES IS PRETTY BEAUTIFUL, IT SEEMS LIKE A LAND MARK DOMINAN THE SKYLINE.

YAN’AN IS FAMOUS FOR ITS CAVE DWELLINGS. YAN’AN UNIVERSITY IS LOCATED BESIDE THE MOUNTAIN, AND NEXT TO YANG JIANG LING. THE WELL-KNOWN CHINESE INTERST. THE TUMB OF INFLUENCIAL CHINESE WRITER LU YAO IS JUST IN THE MOUNTAIN BEHIND THE CAMPUS. HOWEVER THE CAMPUS IS DEVIDED BY A ROAD INTO TWO PARTS. STUDENTS HAVE TO CROSS THE STREET TO TAKE CLASSES. THAT MAKE STUDENTS CONSIERABLLY DANGEROUS. ACCORDING TO THE QUESTIONARE WE MADE DURING THE SURVICE AND ANALYSIS ABOUT THE GROUND, WE FOUND: STUDENTS COMPLAIN ABOUT THE PUBLIC BATH ROOM SMALL,CROWDED, TOO FAR AWAY FROM DORM. THE CONDITION OF DORMITORIES IS PRETTY BAD: LACK OF COMMUNICATION SPACE, OPEN BALCONY CANNOT KEEP ROOMS WARM.
