DEVIN WHITE SCORES ON A BASES LOADED ERROR TO WIN THE SECOND GAME FOR THE CARDINALS The Cardinals had their third walk off win Fresno, CA June 25, 2011 – Coming into the second game of the day Fresno Cardinals looked to split the doubleheader. Clay Gartner pitched the seven inning complete game only giving up an unearned run and striking out eight. The game was tied at 1-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning. Mitchell Soderston had a pinch hit single to start off the bottom of the ninth rally. Devin White pinch ran and then stole second. LaBronze Sanderson and Brian Gaad walked to load the bases with no one out. The next batter, Keith Kandel, hit the ball to the second baseman, but he was unable to field the ball scoring Devin White and ending game. The Cardinals won in walk off fashion 2-1 In the first game the Nor Cal Pirates led in the top of the first inning. Then the Fresno Cardinals took the lead in the bottom of the second leading 2-1. The Pirates tied up the game in the top of the fifth. In the sixth the Pirates took the lead and Cardinals were not able to catch up, losing 9-4.
