THE RATTLERS HOST THE FORESTERS FOR THE LAST SERIES IN SLO THIS SUMMER The SLO Rattlers are 17-18 on the season and 6-17 in CCL play.

SLO Rattlers vs. Santa Barbara Foresters The SLO Rattlers will be playing the Santa Barbara Foresters Tuesday, July 20 at 6:05 p.m.; Wednesday, July 21 at 6:05 p.m.; and Thursday, July 22 at 6:05 p.m. The last time the Rattlers faced the Foresters was June 2010 in Santa Barbara for a three game series. The Forester won all three games. They started playing each other in 2007. The Foresters lead the overall series at 19-2. All of the games can be heard on the internet/radio at http://www.slorattlers.com/rattler-radio.

About the Santa Barbara Foresters The Foresters lead the league in batting average and ERA.

Foul Ball Sponsor Staples is the foul ball sponsor for the Tuesday, July 20 game. Nichols Wealth Management is the foul ball sponsor for the Wednesday, July 21 game. That means that fans get to keep the balls they catch in the fan area on July 20 and July 21 courtesy of Staples and Nichols Wealth Management.

The Rattlers and Foresters face each other in SLO

Rattlers Batting Stats As a team, the Rattlers are batting .242 with forty-two doubles, nine triples, three home runs, and 136 RBIs. Brett Wise and Gabriel Loweree have the highest batting average at .333. Davey Schultz leads the team with thirty hits. Joe Etcheverry has six doubles. Joe Etcheverry has twenty-three RBIs. Robert Vickers has team high sixteen walks. Nigel Morton has a team high two triples. Daniel Howell has three home runs.

Pitching Strikeouts The Rattlers pitching staff has struck out 309 batters this year. On June 2, against the Cal Poly Club Teams, the Rattlers recorded a season high 16 strikeouts. On June 20, against the Santa Maria Valley Packers, the Rattlers recorded a season second best 15 strikeouts. Marc Damon leads the team with the 37 strikeouts.


Stealing Extra Bases The SLO Rattlers are 36 for 46 in stealing extra bases this year. Nigel Morton has the most stolen bases with eight. Six players are perfect when it comes to stealing extra bases.

Going… Going… GONE! On June 2 the Rattlers got their first home run of the season from Daniel Howell. He leads the team with three home runs. He hit a grand slam on July 13 against the Santa Maria Valley Packers.

Rattlers on a Roll The hits continue to come for the Rattlers. Davey Schultz and Jimmy Allen have the longest hitting streaks at eight games. Davey Schultz recorded a hit in every game from June 30 to July 18. Jimmy Allen recorded a hit in every game from July 5 to July 18. Scott Phillion and Joe Etcheverry have the second longest hitting streak on the team at seven games. Scott Phillion recorded a hit in every game from June 13 to June 23. Joe Etcheverry recorded a hit in every game from July 3 to July 18. Robert Vickers has the third longest hitting streak at six games. He recorded a hit in every game from July 5 to July 18. Davey Schultz and Tommy White have the fourth longest hitting streak at five games. Davey Schultz recorded a hit in every game from June 1 to June 5. Tommy White recorded a hit in every game from June 3 to June 13.

It Takes Two… The Rattlers have turned sixteen double plays this year. On June 13, in the second game of the doubleheader against Team Vegas Baseball Club, the Rattlers turned three double plays.

Searching for the Cycle Joe Etcheverry and Zach Steele have been the only two players this year to come close to hitting for the cycle. They were both a home run shy of the cycle on June 29 at the SLO Blues.

Outfield Goes the Distance Center fielder Davey Schultz threw out a Santa Maria Pilots runner at home trying to score from second on July 12. Right fielder Zach Steele gunned down a Team Vegas runner trying score on a fly out on July 18. ###
