MITCHELL PROPHET HITS HIS FIRST TRIPLE OF THE SEASON Robert Vickers went 3-for-3 with a walk, double, and two RBIs San Luis Obispo, CA (July 21, 2010) – The SLO Rattlers pitchers struck out twelve Foresters batters in the game but that was not enough to beat the Santa Barbara Foresters. The Rattlers lost 9-3 for a second night in a row. Mitchell Prophet hit the Rattlers tenth triple of the season. Jimmy Allen went 1-for-4 with a double and a run. Justin Crumply went 1-for-3 with a RBI. Richie Mirowski (Oklahoma Baptist University) got the start for the Rattlers. He went three and two thirds innings, gave up eight hits, six runs, five earned runs, one walk, and six strikeouts. He got the loss for the Rattlers and is 1-2 on the season. Davey Schultz (Cuesta College) singled to start the bottom of the first inning. Robert Vickers (Santa Barbara City College) singled with two out.

Mitchell Prophet hit his first triple

The Santa Barbara Foresters scored four runs off of three hits and two errors in the top of the second inning. The four runs came from a grand slam. Rattlers catcher Mitchell Prophet (Cuesta College) caught a Foresters runner trying to steal second for the second out in the inning. The Foresters took a 40 lead. Mitchell Prophet singled up the middle with one out in the bottom of the second inning, but a double play did not help the Rattlers. Catcher Mitchell Prophet caught another Foresters runner trying to steal second base for the second out of the third inning. The Foresters scored two runs off three hits in the top of the fourth inning. They lead 6-0. Pitcher Chad Caraccioli (Santa Barbara City College) came in the fourth inning with one out. He pitched two and a third innings, giving up three hits, three runs, two earned runs, three walks, and three strikeouts.


Jimmy Allen (Rancho Buena Vista HS/Cal Poly SLO) doubled the first pitch he saw to left field in the fourth inning. Robert Vickers doubled to center field scoring Jimmy Allen. Justin Crumply (Southwest Baptist University) came in and pinch hit for Joe Etcheverry (Northern Illinois University). He singled to right center scoring Robert Vickers. The Foresters led 6-2. The Foresters scored two runs off of one hit and one error in the top of the fifth inning. They led 8-2. Davey Schultz reached first on error with two out and then moved to second on a wild pitch in the fifth. The Foresters scored their last run of the game in the sixth inning. It was off of two hits and one error. The score was 9-2 Foresters. Robert Vickers singled to start off the bottom of the sixth inning. Mitchell Prophet then tripled to left center scoring Robert Vickers. Mason Radeke (Cal Poly SLO) pitched the seventh inning. He gave up one hit and struck out one. Mike Massari (University of Redlands) pitched a shutout eighth inning. The Rattlers turned a double play to get out of the top of the eighth inning. Robert Vickers walked with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. Jeff Johnson (Cal Poly SLO) pitched the ninth giving up a hit and striking out two.
