RICHIE MIROWSKI PITCHED EIGHT INNINGS FOR THE WIN, 4-2 Daniel Howell went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs Compton, CA (July 27, 2010) – Rattlers starting pitcher Richie Mirowski had the longest outing for a Rattlers pitcher this summer going eight innings, striking out eight Barons batters, and shutting down the Barons for seven of the eight batters. He kept the Rattlers in the game. The MLB Academy Barons took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. In the seventh inning The Rattlers bats came alive and the Rattlers scored four runs. Robert Vickers walked in the first run for the Rattlers. Then Daniel Howell came up and hit a bases clearing double. The Rattlers won 4-2.

Jimmy Allen went 3-for-5 with a double and a run. Robert Vickers had two walks, a RBI, and a run. Matt Anderson went 2-for-4. Pitcher Richie Mirowski (Oklahoma Baptist University) started for the Rattlers. He went eight innings, giving up eight hits, two runs, one earned run, and struck out eight. This is the longest outing for a Rattlers pitcher this summer. He got the win for the Rattlers and is 2-2 on the season. Robert Vickers (Santa Barbara City College) walked with two out in the top of the first inning. Chris Hoo (Francis HS/Cal Poly SLO) caught a runner trying to steal second for the first out in the bottom of the first inning. Matt Anderson (Cuesta College) singled to center field with two out in the top of the second inning. The MLB Academy Barons scored two runs off of two hits in the bottom of the second inning. They lead 2-0.
Daniel Howell (Santa Barbara City College) reached first with two out in the fourth inning. Matt Anderson singled to right field to start off the top of the fifth inning. Davey Schultz (Cuesta College) singled down the left field line with one out. Jimmy Allen (Rancho Buena Vista HS/Cal Poly SLO) singled to load the bases. The Rattlers were not able to score a run in the inning. Joe Etcheverry (northern Illinois University) walked to start off the top of the sixth inning. Daniel Howell singled through the left side. A double play did not help the Rattlers. Scott Phillion (central Michigan University) reached first on an error to start off the seventh inning. Davey Schultz hit into a fielder’s choice. Jimmy Allen singled up the middle. Bobby Buckner (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) walked to load the bases. Robert Vickers walked to score Davey Schultz. With two out, Daniel Howell hit a bases clearing double down the left field line scoring Jimmy Allen, Bobby Buckner, and Robert Vickers. The Rattlers led 4-2. Jimmy Allen doubled down the left field line to start off the ninth inning and moved to third on a groundout for the first out. The Rattlers batters could not score him. DJ Gunderson (Santa Barbara City College) pitched a perfect ninth inning striking out one. He got his fourth save for the Rattlers.
