THE WAHOOS COME TO SAN LUIS OBISPO FOR A GAME The SLO Rattlers are 10-17 on the season and 4-16 in CCL play.

San Luis Obispo, CA (July 6, 2010) –

SLO Rattlers vs. California Wahoos The SLO Rattlers will be playing the California Wahoos at Sinsheimer Stadium on Tuesday, July 6 at 6:05 p.m. The last time the Rattlers faced the Wahoos was July 2009. The Rattlers won the game 5-2. They started playing each other in 2008. The Rattlers lead the overall series at 7-1. All of the games can be heard on the internet/radio at http://www.slorattlers.com/rattlerradio.

About the California Wahoos The Wahoos are comprised of high school and college players. Rattlers Batting Stats As a team, the Rattlers are batting .231 with twentynine doubles, nine triples, two home runs, and 90 RBIs. Brett Wise and Gabe Loweree have the highest batting average at .333. They have only played in three or four games. Matt Anderson is sporting the second highest batting average at .313. Davey Schultz leads the team with twenty-four hits. Joe Etcheverry has five doubles. The Rattlers host the Wahoos for Joe Etcheverry has nineteen RBIs and leads the team. game one of three Robert Vickers has team high fourteen walks. Nigel Morton has a team high two triples. Daniel Howell has two home runs.

Pitching Strikeouts The Rattlers pitching staff has struck out 243 batters this year. On June 2, against the Cal Poly Club Teams, the Rattlers recorded a season high 16 strikeouts. Richie Mirowski leads the team with 26 strikeouts.

Stealing Extra Bases The SLO Rattlers are 25 for 32 in stealing extra bases this year. Nigel Morton has the most stolen bases with seven. Six players are perfect when it comes to stealing extra bases.


Rattlers on a Roll The hits continue to come for the Rattlers. Scott Phillion has the longest hitting streak on the team at seven games. Scott Phillion recorded a hit in every game from June 13 to June 23. Davey Schultz and Tommy White have the second longest hitting streaks at five games. Davey Schultz recorded a hit in every game from June 1 to June 5. Tommy White recorded a hit in every game from June 6 to June 13.

It Takes Two‌ The Rattlers have turned twelve double plays this year. On June 13, in the second game of the doubleheader against Team Vegas Baseball Club, the Rattlers turned three double plays.

Searching for the Cycle Joe Etcheverry and Zach Steele have been the only two players this year to come close to hitting for the cycle. They were both a home run shy of the cycle on June 29 at the SLO Blues. ###
