THE SLO RATTLERS PLAY TWO HOME GAMES AGAINST THE CALIFORNIA GLORY The SLO Rattlers are 6-4 on the season and 2-4 in CCL play.

San Luis Obispo, CA (June 16, 2010) –

SLO Rattlers vs. California Glory The SLO Rattlers will be playing the California Glory on Thursday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Sinsheimer Stadium. This is a not league series. The Rattlers have not faced the California Glory before. All of the games can be heard on the internet/radio at http://www.slorattlers.com/rattlerradio.

About the California Glory The California Glory is a team with a 22-year history, which has spent most of its time in Southern California. The last three years they have played in Stockton. The team is the third wooden bat baseball organization to call Lodi home in the last three years.

Foul Ball Sponsor Kiamie Wine Cellars is the foul ball sponsor for the Friday, June 18 game. That means that fans get to keep the balls they catch in the fan area, courtesy of Kiamie Wine Cellars.

Rattlers Bats Are Heating Up

The SLO Rattlers will play two non-league games against the California Glory

As a team, the Rattlers are batting .268 with fourteen doubles, five triples, two home runs, and 48 RBIs. Scott Pillion is sporting the highest batting average at .385. Scott Pillion leads the team with ten hits. Joe Etheverry has three doubles. Joe Etcheverry has nine RBIs and leads the team. David Schultz has a team high six walks. Five players each have one triple. Daniel Howell has two home runs.

Pitching Strikeouts The Rattlers pitching staff has struck out 95 batters this year. On June 2 against the Cal Poly Club Teams, the Rattlers recorded a season high 16 strikeouts. Jeremy Gonzales leads the team with 12 strikeouts.

Stealing Extra Bases The SLO Rattlers are 15 for 16 in stealing extra bases this year. David Schultz and Nigel Morton have the most stolen bases with three and are perfect when it comes to sealing extra bases.


Going… Going… GONE! On June 2 the Rattlers got their first home run of the season from Daniel Howell. He leads the team with two home runs.

Rattlers on a Roll The hits continue to come for the Rattlers. David Schultz and Thomas White have the longest hitting streak on the team at five games. David Schultz recorded a hit in every game from June 1 to June 5. Thomas White recorded a hit in every game from June 6 to June 13.

It Takes Two… The Rattlers have turned five double plays this year. On June 13 in the second game of the doubleheader against Team Vegas Baseball Club the Rattlers turned three double plays. ###
