RATTLERS RALLY PAST GLORY, 6-2 The Rattlers pitching staff struck out 11 batters in the game and 106 on the season. San Luis Obispo, CA (June 17, 2010) – Thursday night’s game saw several lead changes before the Rattlers pulled ahead and beat the California Glory, 62. The Rattlers improve to 7-4 on the season. Thomas White scored the first tying run in the second inning. Bobby Buckner drove in the go ahead run in the third inning scoring David Schultz, Bobby Buckner, David Schultz, and Robert Vickers went 2for-4. Bobby Buckner had a game high 2 RBIs. The Rattlers pitching stuck out 11 batters in the game.

Chad Caraccioli is 2-1 on the season

The Glory scored their first run in the second inning taking an early 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the second inning Thomas White walked with two out. Robert Vickers then doubled down the left field line moving Thomas White to third. Thomas White then scored on a passed ball. Zach Steele started off the bottom of the third with a single and David Schultz singled. Matt Anderson reached on a fielder’s choice, putting runners at first and second. Bubby Buckner then doubled to left center scoring David Schultz. Pitcher Chad Caraccioli got all three batters out in the fourth inning. He also started a great 1-6-3 double play to end the fifth inning. Chad Caraccioli went five innings, striking out seven, and got the win. He is 2-1 on the season. The Glory’s second run and final run of the game came in fifth inning tying up the game. It was an unearned run. David Schultz singled to the left side in the bottom of the fifth inning. Matt Anderson moved him over to second. Bobby Buckner singled to left field and advanced to second on the throw, scoring David Schultz which was the go ahead run. Joe Etcheverry singled up the middle scoring Bubby Buckner, which gave the Rattlers a 4-2 lead. Daniel Howell also singled.


Pitcher Michael Nealebeck came in the sixth inning and pitched two innings getting all six batters he faced out. Nigel Morton singled with one out and stole second with two out. David Schultz reached first on an error scoring Nigel Morton. Todd Simko came in and pitched the eighth inning, getting all three batters out he faced. Thomas White started out the bottom of the eighth inning by reaching first on an error and advancing to second on the errant throw. Robert Vickers singled to right field scoring Thomas White. Zach Steele walked with two out. Marc Damon came in and pitched the ninth inning striking out a season high three batters in an inning. He got his third save of the season.
