THE RATTLERS BEAT THE BULLS, 3-1 Kyle Wise went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a triple

Paso Robles, CA (June 15, 2010) – The SLO Rattlers beat the Central Coast Bulls 3-1. The Rattlers scored the three runs in the first and fourth innings. The Rattlers are 6-4 on the season. David Murillo got his first start in his fourth appearance for the Rattlers. He sat the Central Coast batters down 1-2-3 in the third and fifth innings. He went five innings, gave up one earned run, and struck out two. The Bulls had a runner at third with one out in the first innings, but the Rattlers were able to get out of the inning without giving up a run. Zach Steele started off the bottom of the first inning with a walk and then stole second. Nigel Morton reached on an error by the left fielder and advanced to second. Bobby Buckner had a RBI groundout scoring Zach Steele. Joe Etcheverry had a RBI groundout also. In the top of the second inning David Murillo turned a great double play.

The Central Coast Bulls scored their only run in the top of the fourth via a home run. Matt Anderson singled with one out in the top of the fourth inning. Kyle Wise then tripled to right center with two out scoring Matt Anderson. Pitcher Mike Massari came in the sixth inning and got all three outs via the putout or assist of the pitcher. Douglas Gunderson came in the seventh inning and pitched an inning striking out one. Matt Anderson made a great diving catch in right field for the first out in the inning. In the bottom of the seventh inning Kyle Wise was hit by a pitch and Zach Steele single with no one out. The Rattlers were not able to score. Todd Simko pitched the eighth inning striking out two. Marc Damon came in and pitched the ninth inning striking out two and getting the save.
