DANIEL HOWELL HITS THE RATTLERS FIRST HOME RUN OF THE SEASON The Rattlers’ pitching combined for the first shutout of the season. San Luis Obispo, CA (June 2, 2010) – The SLO Rattlers won their second game of the season 11-0 over the Cal Poly Club Team Baseball. Daniel Howell capped off the fourth inning with a three run home run. David Schultz made a great catch in center field to end the top of first inning. Jeremy Gonzales got the start for the Rattlers. He went three innings with five strikeouts. Jeremy Gonzales struck out the batters in order in the third inning. Kyle Wise got the first hit of the game for the Rattlers with a double. Then Justin Crumpley singled to bring Kyle Wise home and get the first run of the game. Marc Damon came in the top of the fourth inning striking out five in two innings. He got the win in relief. In the fourth inning with one out Kyle Wise reached on an error. Then Chris Lauritzen singled with two out moving Kyle Wise to third. The Daniel Howell went 1-5 Rattlers then broke it open with two outs. Kyle Wise scored on a wild pitch. with a run and three RBI's Brett Wise singled scoring Chris Lauritzen. David Schulz singled and Brett Wise scored on a passed ball. Robert Vickers singled and TJ Fillcia singled scoring David Schultz. Daniel Howell then came up and homered to left field scoring three. Gabe Loweree and Kyle Wise each had a single. Marc Damon came in the top of the fourth inning striking out five in two innings. He got the win in relief. Pinch hitter Joe Etcheverry came up in the fifth inning with the bases loaded and no one out and was able get a RBI walk scoring Chris Lauritzen. Scott Phillion had a single in the sixth and eighth innings. Alex Sammons sat the batters down in order to end the top of the ninth inning and the game.
