THE SLO RATTLERS HEAD TO SANTA BARBARA The SLO Rattlers are 8-10 on the season and 2-9 in CCL play.

SLO Rattlers vs. Santa Barbara Foresters The last time the Rattlers faced the Foresters was July 2009. The Foresters won the games 4-0, 4-0, and 12-3. They started playing each other in 2007. About the Santa Barbara Foresters The Foresters are 12-5 overall. The Foresters are hitting .315 and Jared Womack leads the way with a .463 batting average. The pitching staff has a combined ERA of 3.39 and 185 strikeouts. One of their players, Nick Melino, is from Unv. of Nevada Reno. He played summer ball last year with the Humboldt Crabs. He was the offensive player of the team.

Rattlers Batting Stats As a team, the Rattlers are batting .248 with twenty-one doubles, seven triples, two home runs, and 76 RBIs. Brett Wise is sporting the highest batting average at .429. He has only played in three games. Scott Phillion is batting the second best at .378. David Schultz and Scott Phillion lead the team with seventeen hits. Joe Etcheverry, Daniel Howell, and Scott Phillion have three doubles. Joe Etcheverry has thirteen RBIs and leads the team. Robert Vickers, Joe Etcheverry, and Nigel Morton have a team high seven walks. Nigel Morton has a team high two triples. Daniel Howell has two home runs.
Pitching Strikeouts The Rattlers pitching staff has struck out 174 batters this year. On June 2, against the Cal Poly Club Teams, the Rattlers recorded a season high 16 strikeouts. Jeremy Gonzales leads the team with 20 strikeouts.
Stealing Extra Bases The SLO Rattlers are 20 for 23 in stealing extra bases this year. Nigel Morton has the most stolen bases with five. Seven players are perfect when it comes to stealing extra bases.
Going… Going… GONE! On June 2 the Rattlers got their first home run of the season from Daniel Howell. He leads the team with two home runs.
Rattlers on a Roll The hits continue to come for the Rattlers. Scott Phillion has the longest hitting streak on the team at seven games. Scott Phillion recorded a hit in every game from June 13 to June 23. Davey Schultz and Tommy White have the second longest hitting streaks at five games. Davey Schultz recorded a hit in every game from June 1 to June 5. Tommy White recorded a hit in every game from June 6 to June 13.
It Takes Two… The Rattlers have turned eight double plays this year. On June 13, in the second game of the doubleheader against Team Vegas Baseball Club, the Rattlers turned three double plays. ###
