THE RATTLERS HAD A TOUGH GAME WITH THE PACKERS Brandon Lee went 1-for-3 with a run scored San Luis Obispo, CA (June 20, 2010) – Starting Pitcher Richie Mirowski went five innings, gave up four hits, struck out ten, and did not give up a run. The Rattlers pitching and defense were able to keep the Packers in check for six shutout errorless innings. In the top of the first inning, catcher Brandon Lee caught the runner stealing second base. Jimmy Allen singled to right field to start of the bottom of the first inning. Bobby Buckner singled up the middle with two out and Joe Daniel Howell went 2-for-4 with Etcheverry singled up the middle. Daniel two RBIs and a double Howell doubled to left center scoring Bobby Buckner and Joe Etcheverry. That gave the Rattlers a 2-0 lead Brandon Lee doubled to start of the bottom of the second inning, but the Rattlers were not able to score. Nigel Morton reached first on an error to start of the bottom of the fifth inning. Jimmy Allen reached first on an error with one out. Daniel Howell singled to the left field with one out and Scott Phillion singled to the right field. Brandon Lee grounded out putting runners at second and third. The Packers got four runs in the top of the seventh inning and three runs in the top of the eighth inning giving the Packers a 7-2 lead. Pitcher DJ Gunderson came in the seventh inning, gave up four runs, only one earned run, and got the loss. Brandon Lee was hit by a pitch with one out. Nigel Morton tripled to left center scoring Brandon Lee. Davey Schultz singled to right center scoring Nigel Morton. That was all the Rattlers were able to score in the bottom of the ninth. ###
