Reedley College Men’s Basketball team looks to great season Cherie Smith Sports Editor Reedley College Men’s Basketball Head Coach Brian Fonseca said, “Each year our goals are the same—to make the Postseason!” It usually requires them to finish in the top three in the conference. Fonseca also said, “I sure like 20 wins….just looks good and sounds good. Also, I like to say it is a good year [when] we are still playing in March!” The Reedley College Men’s Basketball team starts their season at home on Saturday, November 10 against Skyline College. The returning sophomores are Dupree Hull Fresno, CA, Chris Lopez Dinuba, CA, Brett Parichan Reedley, CA, Stephen Thomas Fresno, CA, Derek Walters Fresno, CA, and Zak Wilkins Potterville, CA. Last year Walters earned All-Central Valley Conference Freshman Team and Honorable Mention. Hull is the most improved. Walters and Hull are both very skilled guards. Fonseca said, “Wilkins can really shoot it!” Brett [Parichan] “is a Reedlian and he is a high flyer.” Lopez is a local product from Dinuba, CA. 2012-2013 Reedley College Men’s Basketball players

The Tigers have two transfers that will make immediate impact. San Milhous played his freshman year at Cuesta College. Fonseca said, Milhous “lets his play do his talking.” Mykhail Torrence is from Madera, CA and played his freshman year at a junior college in Texas. Reedley also has some great freshman. Andre Frazier is from Pasadena, CA and is a long tough forward. Fonseca said, “The biggest surprise had been Eddie Ramirez. Great guy, the team really loves him.” He is the one true center on the team. The other two are Kyle Smith and Fidel Cadenas. They both are versatile players who can make an impact. Fonseca said, “We always appreciate to see Tiger Nation out in Full Force! We have done a pretty good [job] of defending our home court over the years, and it sure helps to have a large and lively crowd!” He stated that the team is very interesting and there are lots of pieces and lots of potential. The men’s basketball team will have five preseason games at home. The first two games are at home in the Reedley College gymnasium. On Saturday, November 10 at 6:00 p. m. the Tigers will be hosting Skyline College. On Friday, November 16 at 5:00 p.m. Reedley hosts San Diego
