Recently, I was reading some information about people, women in particular, and the obsession that we have with body images. Daily, our senses are saturated with television commercials and shows; radio personalities and podcasts; magazine and books stories and pictures along with family and friends discussing our bodies. The pressure to “get bodied” is everywhere! “I want to lose weight” seems to be the mantra for so many of us. “I can’t lose these pounds!” is our battle cry. Too often, we push ourselves to physical and emotional exhaustion as we attempt to achieve “the look” and in the meantime, we are becoming unhealthy in so many areas.
