WELCOME BACK BOAT SHOWS

After a lengthy hiatus from boat shows around the world, we are back in business for our annual Bay Bridge Boat Show, April 1518, 2021 – but with a brandnew look. Given the green light and encouragement from Queen Anne’s County, we took this opportunity to combine our spring power and sail shows into one great show. Traditionally signaling the start of the boating season in the Mid-Atlantic, this year’s show will be historic in being one of the fi rst shows in the country to be produced post-pandemic. Even more noteworthy is that it will be one of the few shows in the country to feature both powerboats and sailboats.

Boating with friends and family proved to be one of the best social distancing activities in 2020 and, as a result, new boat sales were booming. That trend is continuing into this new year and manufacturers are scrambling to build boats to replace dealer inventory sold last year. Reports of the arrival of 2021 models, in all classifi cations of boats, are coming in from our dealers, and we are confi dent the show will be chock full of beautiful new sail and power boats of all sizes. A tour through the website section titled “Who’s Exhibiting” will give you an accurate picture of what dealers will be represented and what boats and gear will be on display. ‘Previously loved’ models will also be interspersed among the others for those looking for something slightly used.

As you know, boat shows are not just about selling product. They also create a great springtime atmosphere for socializing with likeminded boaters, provide an opportunity to learn from the experts in classes, seminars, and workshops, introduce you to new technologies to upgrade your existing boat, and simply provide a scenic location to enjoy an adult beverage or snack at the pool bar or food court. We are going all out to create the best show possible and feature all those activities you have grown to know and love.

Not only will this be one of the fi rst main boating events of the year, but it will be the prototype for future spring shows around Annapolis. Sailors and powerboaters will not want to miss this exhilarating weekend featuring Eastern Shore hospitality, great restaurants and hotels, sunsets across the Chesapeake Bay, and the chance to tour the boat of your dreams.
