“Many thanks to you all for your positivity and enthusiasm. Thank you to all of you for the amazing work you’re doing with the kids and the activities they’re getting, it’s really appreciated.

“My daughter Alicia and I want to thank you all so, so much for a brilliant summer of activities and support. My daughter especially wants to thank Sarah and Rob who she really enjoyed the activity centres with. Alton Towers was an amazing treat, especially as it’s not somewhere from a mobility point of view that I could ever take my daughter. She had a fantastic time, as she did in Delamere and on the alpaca trip. Thank you all. Everything you all do for the children is very much appreciated.”

“It was a pleasure to spend the day with the group. I felt welcomed and supported by all the staff involved, especially because I had almost no idea what was going to happen or what I could contribute. The organisers and activity leaders were excellent, providing guidance on the activities, sensitive support, enthusiasm and commitment. There were clear behavioural boundaries, which the children observed for the majority of the time. On the rare occasions when there was a bit of misbehaviour, they were told that they were “letting the group and the staff down”, thus reinforcing collective responsibility. The day was very well planned and organised into contrasting activities. The teachers leading the individual sessions told the group how great their specialist subject was (e.g. “Maths is Fantastic!”), and the message appears to have got through... I was impressed that the children committed themselves not only to sport and art activities but also got stuck into the Maths quiz/race and beat the adult helper’s team with ease. They had the opportunity to have fun with friends and other children who were carers, but also work on their own if they wished to. Staff also had an excellent relationship with individual children and gave unobtrusive informal support. It was a fascinating and enjoyable day for me. Thank you for the opportunity to experience it!” - Knutsford Lions Host
