(3 March 2015) Award winning Cheval Three Quays at the Tower of London has raised £15,000 in support of ‘The Tower of London Remembers’, a major installation that took place at The Tower of London by ceramic artist Paul Cummins to mark the 100 year anniversary of the First World War. On Friday 27 February Cheval Three Quays General Manager Dean Madge presented a cheque to John Brown, Deputy Governor and Poppy Programme Lead at the Tower of London, to be donated to the six service charities associated with ‘The Tower of London Remembers’; Confederation of Service Charities (COBSEO), Combat Stress, Coming Home, Help for Heroes, Royal British Legion and SSAFA (formerly the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association).

Cheval Three Quays, part of luxury serviced apartment specialist Cheval Residences, raised this sum by donating the total profits of apartment 7P, a Tower View one bedroom apartment at Cheval Three Quays, between 5 August and 11 November 2014 to the cause. George Westwell, Director at Cheval Residences commented: “We are thoroughly delighted with the success of our Tower Poppy fundraising campaign at Cheval Three Quays, supporting such worthwhile charities. We have felt very honoured to play a part in the campaign.” To further assist with the project, and to give something back to the local community, Cheval Residences volunteered members of its Cheval Three Quays team to assist with the planting of 6,500 ceramic poppies at the Tower of London during September 2014. Team members from sales, marketing, concierge, housekeeping and management spent the afternoon assembling and planting the poppies in the moat of the tower. Cheval Three Quays also raised awareness of the campaign by leaving guest cards explaining the Tower Remembers project with details of how to purchase the poppies in every room during the period. Cheval Residences has an ongoing commitment to corporate responsibility and is dedicated to creating a more positive impact within its local communities and society as a whole.
