Question 1. What does it mean to you to be a woman in manufacturing today?

To be a woman in manufacturing means unleashing the potential of women by making of huge strides in promotions and building in the manufacturing industry.

Question 2. Share with us your BEST memory in manufacturing.

My best memory in manufacturing is being able to have the confidence to do what I do best; running the Moline line, completing change over within the time frame that’s expected and the product being in spec. I love having the pleasure to work together as a team.

Question 3. What is your greatest hope for women in manufacturing for the future?

My greatest hope for women is to evolve in the manufacturing industry and for them to be great leaders, individual or for the company. It will only be a matter of time before the 30% of women working in the manufacturing industry is nothing more than a historical percentage.

Question 4. Would you refer your female friends/family to work in the manufacturing sector?

Yes, I would refer them because it would be a way for them to develop skills and find success and fulfillment in their careers. It would also empower them to pursue leadership roles.

Question 5. Share any challenges you faced and how you overcame those during your tenure with the company. Starting a new company, it was very challenging learning new things in a new environment. I overcame those challenges by showing I was willing to learn. I was able to learn quickly.
