The sky garden design of the Taoyuan General Hospital is in consonance with the long-term care development trends on seniors in recent years. It has re-organized the unused roof platform and introduced natural scenery into the planned roof garden into the hospital, providing a comfortable medical and recreational environment for the seniors and patients.

Besides the sky garden on the roof, it has also improved the water-proof and sewage channels on the roof by reprocessing its water-proof layer with PU to avoid leaking water indoors due to outdated roof water-proofing.

Located at Shihling District in northern Taipei, there are also medical ins�tu�ons like regional hospitals nearby. By improving its public and administra�on space, it enhances its service space and quality. With flow organiza�on, it enhances the working efficiency of the medical staff and provides regional residents with a more comprehensive and more comfortable medical environment.

Under construc�on problems and solu�on

Underground water kept on coming in even a�er onsistent pumping at the ditch. A�er days of observa�ons, the water level rose to a maximum of 5 cen�meters. Later, template grou�ng was used as paving and hoses were connected to diaphragm walls to prevent from water level rising.
The corridor is paved with floor �les while part of the administra�on space is paved with PVC carpets. The flooring was made higher to present a barrier-free friendly space.
15 cen�meters is le� under the glass for weak-current electric lines and was edged with calcium silicate plates.
Comprehensive fire-proof stuffing was carried out to strengthen the exis�ng channel safety construc�on in the hospital.
In coordina�on with the height restric�ons of the wind pipe, the entrance door of the dressing room was lowered to 195 cen�meters and height varia�on was made with exposed calcium silicate plate ceilings.
Seamless PVC carpets were used to smooth the corners of the construc�on.
Earth tone color was used to create a comfortable and clean public and administra�on space.

FOURTEEN FLOOR The renova�on construc�on of the Postpartum Nursing Care Center, Taoyuan General Hospital brought up ideas and concepts on the caring space of different ethnic people. With the concept of home, it planned its space unlike common hospital rooms. The Postpartum Nursing Care Center provides pregnant women with a comfortable living space by crea�ng a lively atmosphere to enhance their living quality.

Wood pa�erns were used for the flooring to create the atmosphere of home. The main color of the public area flooring is beige to represent leisure and happiness. Dark brown colors were used for the surrounding flooring of the public area.

For the OT project of the World Expo Taiwan Pavilion Wind City Cultural Crea�ve Hall carried out by the Hsinchu City Cultural Affairs Bureau, the original unused cultural crea�ve space was re-organized. Its interior was designed as business spaces such as movie theatre and food corner, while its surface was renovated. I was responsible for the surface planning and designing of this case. I wanted to create a green boulevard by designing a horizontal green wall with the original street trees. Interac�ve street installa�on art works were also installed to add liveliness.

OPERATING ROOM PLAN
Stainless steel materials are used on the surgery room door and medical appliances. PVC an�-wear flooring is used at the medical space at the nurse’s sta�on and the corridor for contaminated objects. PVC green wear resistant flooring was used for the sides of corridor for contaminated objects. PVC acid and alkali resistant flooring was used for the surgery room area. PVC blue an�-wear flooring was used for the recovery room. Wood pa�ern materials were used for the doors of the medical space, cupboards and nurse’s sta�on counter.
Compared to other spaces in the hospital, surgery rooms are rela�vely complicated spaces due to the flow arrangement of users and medical staff. The public space can be separated into the flow arrangement of users and medical staffs while the flows of clean and contaminated objects are also separated inside the surgery room. The air condi�oning system is another major issue in order to coordinate the infec�on control flow and examine air current direc�ons to prevent cross-infec�on. Besides taking part in its pla�orm planning and designing, I was also mainly responsible for the simula�ng configura�on of the facili�es and renova�on materials in the indoor spaces of this case. 22

Inside the Hsinchu Campus of China Medical University, a 3-storey space with shops and food corner was planned as the new business hotspot of Hsinchu. Its design concept is a tree, with the B1 floor as the root, first floor as the stem and second floor as the leaf, represen�ng a new life sprou�ng from the land of Hsinchu.

Examine the process of urban development from the perspec�ve of nature and we can discover that the culture bred from the Tamsui River system of the Beitou District has been segmented due to inconsistent urban development, resul�ng in the separa�on of humanity and nature.
The once urban pa�ern of hydrology and nature should be preserved. Using past hydrology context as new media, the space enables people to create new memories at the military dependents’ villages. The linkage of blue belts and green belts creates a scenery of a green urban corridor. From the city to one’s backyard, this paradise hidden in the city preserves the most precious local natural environment and history.

Installa�on Art I par�cipated in a team work project on campus installa�on art in my freshman year, with its founda�on located at the building of the Architecture Department. With wooden structures and hand as inspira�on, I simulated finger joints to create a virtual space that is connected with the entrance. In this project, besides taking part in its design, I was also mainly responsible for the construc�on method and structural support.
Let's Colour Project In Taiwan In my sophomore year, I took part in a project on interna�onal environmental pain�ng in my department. Let's Colour Project in Taiwan- Dulux, Adding Color To People's Lives.The base was located at a road heading towards the Na�onal United University at Miaoli. By pain�ng ground anchors by the hill,we added colors on the way to school and expected to change our life through environmental beau�fica�on.
