ADMISSIONS TIMELINE A Brief Overview
SEPTEMBER Open House – Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. Attend our Open House on November 5. Attend a Parlor Meeting at the home of a current Rochelle OCTOBER Zell Jewish High School family. Take a tour during school hours and schedule a shadow day for your NOVEMBER prospective student. DECEMBER Save $500 On Tuition – Apply by December 15, 2017 Submit an application by the December 15 Early Decision Deadline and save $500 on the first year’s tuition.
Placement Test and Family Interview All incoming freshmen need to take a placement test, which determines a student’s high school readiness and suggests appropriate course placement for freshman year. Two Sunday morning test dates at Rochelle Zell Jewish High School will be offered to applicants: Sunday, December 10, 2017 and Sunday, January 14, 2018. Students who have already taken a similar test, such as the ISEE, may submit copies of their scores with their application and do not need to retake the test at Rochelle Zell Jewish High School. Once all application materials are received, students and their parents will schedule an interview.
JANUARY Submit Tuition Assistance Applications by January 9, 2018 FEBRUARY 2Tuition Assistance Funds are limited for tuition assistance applications submitted after the February nd deadline. Families are encouraged to apply early. If you apply for admission after February 2, 2018 the Tuition Assistance Application must be submitted within two weeks. You may begin this process prior to submitting an admission application.
Curriculum Night — Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 7 pm Dive in further to the Rochelle Zell academic opportunities.
MARCH
Enrollment & Tuition Agreements Due March 1 Families of incoming freshmen and their siblings will receive notification of acceptance and tuition assistance determinations by mail. Signed enrollment and tuition agreements must be signed and returned to Rochelle Zell Jewish High School with a tuition deposit in order to enroll in classes.

School Forms
Attend the annual incoming freshman bowling party! Incoming students will be contacted by their Peer Buddies. Medical and other school forms will be sent to new families. A copy of the student’s birth certificate must be on file. Final transcripts must also be submitted to Rochelle Zell Jewish High School before students can begin the school year.
*Students receiving extra time on tests should register for the December 10 test date.
