TEST
Parents complete the admissions application and submit it together with the student application and $150 application fee. School transcripts and teacher recommendations are to be sent directly from the student’s school.
Learn about the many opportunities available for your student at CJHS. Attend an informational meeting. Visit during school hours and see classes in action. Schedule your student to spend time shadowing a CJHS student to various classes and activities. Attend the November 4 Open House for prospective families, 1pm at CJHS. Submit an application by the December 17 Priority Deadline and save $500 off the first year’s tuition. After December 17, applications will be accepted as space permits. Tuition Assistance (TA) applications for new and returning students are due by February 4, 2013. Applications are available at www.cjhs.org. You must include 2012 W2s and 2011 tax returns with your application in order to be reviewed. Families may apply for TA after this date, but will need to include 2012 W2s and 2012 tax returns. Funds are limited, so families are encouraged to apply early. Incoming freshmen need to take ACT’s Explore Test. The exam determines a student’s high school readiness and suggests appropriate course placement for freshman year. Two Sunday morning test dates will be offered: Sunday, December 9, 2012 and Sunday, January 13, 2013. All testing takes place at CJHS. Students who have already taken the Explore test in 8th grade or who have taken a similar test, such as the ISEE, may submit copies of their scores with their application and do not need to retake the test at CJHS. Note: Those students receiving extended test time need to register for the January 13 testing date.
