EXPERIENCE AGRICULTURE
“The United States produces about 25 million pounds of wool a year. And through our doors, we’ll market between 4 and a half and 5 million pounds. So, we’re handling roughly 20% of the wool produced in the United States. What draws you to this industry is the producers themselves. They work hard. They take all of the risks of weather, markets, predators -- all of the issues they face every day. It’s a privilege, I think, to have the responsibility to market their products.” - Larry Prager, CEO • Center of the Nation Wool, Inc.

CN Wool supplies a little over half of all the wool consumed by the U.S. military and the armed forces. If you own a pair of machine washable wool socks, odds are the wool they are made of came from one of the 1,500 wool producers that use CN Wool Warehouse. The warehouse was initially incorporated in Alzada, MT, in 1960. Local producers wanted a better market for their wool. From this need, the Center of the Nation Wool was created. They moved to their current Belle Fourche location in 1984.
