Registering and Bidding Placing a Bid
Proxy Bidding (Setting a Proxy Bid)
With Proxy Bidding, you can enter your maximum bid, then sit back and watch. When you set a Proxy Bid amount, the auction automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid. If the lot ends for less than your maximum, that’s all you’ll have to pay. This means you don’t have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed.
Here’s how it works:
When you set your high limit bid, you type in the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the lot. Your maximum amount is kept confidential from other bidders and the seller.
EDJE Auctions compares your bid to those of the other registered bidders --- the system automatically places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bid position.
View video of each lot on auction site.
The system will bid only up to your maximum amount as necessary to maintain you as the high bidder. If another bidder has a higher maximum, you’ll be outbid. BUT, if no other bidder has a higher maximum, you win the lot. And you could pay significantly less than your maximum price! Manual Bids - Single Bid Button
Click on the BID button pertaining to the lot that interest you. The single bid button indicates what the next bid needs to be in order to get “IN”. Bidding will be set at increment amounts. In the instance where two bidders bid “simultaneously”, the first bid that reaches the internet auction computer will be given the amount----the second bidder will be asked to bid the next available amount. DO NOT HIT THE BID BUTTON REPEATEDLY or you may actually stall your bid placement! Or you may place a higher bid then you need to. Click only once to place bid, your

Welcome to our 2021 production sale. Welcome to Ipsen Cattle Company. Eight years ago, when we decided to market our cattle solely online, we got some strange comments. Now in 2021 we look like Einstein’s. We are excited about our upcoming sale and look forward to visiting with everyone interested in this offering.
Our philosophy and program is simple: To produce the most predictable, functional and highest quality cattle possible. We have achieved this by using the best possible genetics available for our environment, with balanced traits and a rigid and ruthless culling program. At the end of the day after they have been Tested, Measured and Weighed we offer them to you. All cattle selling have been parent verified, EPD’s genomically enhanced and bulls have been PAP tested to give you the highest level of predictability possible.
Welcome & Sale Terms
Sale Terms:
Emphasis has been placed on all the important traits that make cattle profitable and believe that single trait selection is a one-way road to disaster. We also believe in using EPD’s as a tool but only as a tool. Those that select on EPD’s alone will certainly be short lived. Phenotype, structure and those convenience traits are important to us and drive this program. We feel fortunate to have our son, Logan giving us advice on herd sires. In his travels he sees more cattle than any of us would able to and has a great ability to sort those animals with true muscle from those with “white” muscle. We discuss those sires that will work and make the decisions on which bulls will work to bring you a top set of breeding cattle. Thus, it puts us at a great advantage in sire selection. BULL BUYERS: I would like give the PAP testing some emphasis this year. As the majority of our bulls go to ranchers that run at elevation, I believe our scores are very good this year to give a good selection for your needs. The quality on the bulls is very high and I believe you will be happy with what you see as you come to look at them. HEIFER BUYERS. Take a good look at the heifers offered this year. We have increased the numbers and the quality is phenomenal. We are excited to watch them as they develop this winter. They are from the heart of our herd and will make excellent investments on March 2nd. There are several that will make top replacements for any Registered Herd. We believe in these genetics; we will buy back any bull calf from these at weaning at $200 over your steer price. So, as you browse through the offering in the catalog, online or when you come to look at them, I think you will agree that this is truly a great set of bulls and females. Buy with confidence that your investment will be a good one. We are always close by the phone to answer any questions or ready to show you them in person. Thank you for your support in the past and we look forward to continuing to earn your trust in the future. For those that may be new to us please feel free to call anytime. We like discussing cattle. We are so blessed to have meet so many great friends and associates. Please join us on sale day for a tri-tip lunch.

“Bear is the thickest angus bull that has walked through the chutes here at Hoffman A.I. - Doug Coombs We are proud that we use A.I. extensively to incorporate the top genetics of the Angus breed into our herd. Bear is our walking herd bull that will run with all the top bulls in the breed across the board. He has the EPD profile, the look, and after several years of use, we believe his offspring do all the speaking. An impressive looking bull with an EPD profile that is as good as it gets. He is balanced, not only in figures but in look. He packs meat and muscle with thickness throughout his body. He has a pretty Angus head and neck. Blends well into shoulders, which are tight and correct in their angles. His mid-section exhibits capacity and volume. He is broad across his back and thick in his quarter, deep in his twist. He is a prolific breeder and covers the cows he is turned out with on time. His real value shows up in his females. They are fertile, good uddered and easy to be around. His first daughters are everything we thought they would be plus some.
