Technical education and housing for Belle Fourche Economic development for a community is driven by several factors. The top two, in many cases across the state, are workforce/workforce development and housing. Belle Fourche has been able to develop a system that allows students to learn in the high demand construction trades while helping fulfill the need for quality housing in our community. Each year, one home is constructed by the

students of Belle Fourche High School’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) program. This past year, the students from Western Dakota Tech added to the project with their plumbing and electrical classes supervised and assisted by licensed contractors.

Tech students, housing and workforce development have a whole new look. For more information, contact the economic development office at 892-5065.
