Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce serves to promote our members, the commercial, civic, and general interests of the city of Belle Fourche, and our trade area. As a voluntary organization our aim is to represent and advocate for our members and the business community as a whole. We are not a civic club, a charitable organization, or department of city government. We are a private, non-profit, taxpaying corporation focused on improving the community and businesses of Belle Fourche. We’re compromised of people — people just like you, who realize that we can accomplish more collectively than individually.

LETTER FROM OUR DIRECTOR
Giving Back! Each year the Chamber of Commerce looks at ways to give back to our community outside of supporting our businesses. The first year we partnered with Neighborworks Housing with their Paint South Dakota Campaign. We painted a house for a family here in our community that needed just a little extra help. This year we partnered with Make-AWish and granted Harper her wish for a Princess Castle “playhouse”. The Make-A- Wish team was blown away by our community and the support we gave to them to make this wish come true.
MIRANDA WILL BE OUT OF THE OFFICE MAY 2- 5TH AS SHE WILL BE ATTENDING THE MACE CONFERENCE IN SIOUX FALLS.
FOSTER CARE AWARENESS MONTH
ADS BY KIDS!
“There is such a great need for foster families. Now that I am in it I realize there are so many ways to be involved in foster care, from being a foster parent to being a support to foster families. I think if you ever had a desire to do it or to help in some way, follow that nudging and see where you might fit and be able to give. It is of course not something to take lightly or jump into without being informed first. My encouragement to someone considering foster care would be to start with finding someone you know who is a foster family and ask questions. If you do get involved, I can tell you, you won’t regret it.”

About Make-A-Wish® South Dakota & Montana
Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring the power of wishing to every eligible child because every step of the wish journey can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness. Together with generous donors, supporters, staff and nearly 230 volunteers, Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana has granted more than 2,400 wishes. For more information about Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana, visit wish.org/sdmt.
How to Refer a Child
Every day, we rely on wish referrals from caring individuals to help us reach more kids with critical illnesses and grant their life-changing wishes. Children with critical illnesses between the ages of 21⁄2 and 18 who have not received a wish from another wish-granting organization qualify for a wish. A medical professional, family member, parent or the child with a critical illness can make a referral. Visit wish.org/sdmt/refer to make a referral or email make an inquiry.
