The Spearfish School District Board of Education prohibits the use of all forms of tobacco by staff members, employees, visitors or guests in all District buildings, on school grounds, in all school vehicles at all times and at any school-related functions. For the purposes of this policy, tobacco means any substance or item, in any form, containing tobacco. The administration is directed to treat the use, possession or promotion of all forms of nicotine-containing products or nicotine delivery devices, which may or may not include actual tobacco, as a violation of this policy, provided the device is not part of an individual’s cessation program.

Spearfish High School Spartan Athletic Booster Club

The Spartan Athletic Booster Club mission is to encourage and grow participation of athletes involved in the SDHS AA sanctioned sports at Spearfish High School. (16 Athletic Teams comprise our SHS Athletic Program.) The Spartan Athletic Booster Club works actively on… Promoting Development, Performance and Opportunity… Through Equipment, Experiences, Education and Enjoyment • Uniting our greater community, • With students, faculty, alumni, and parents, • To support Spartan interscholastic sports programs, • Boosting School Spirit and Pride Thanks to all of you…YOU…Our generous Community! Our Spearfish community is the reason so many things can happen for our athletes. Financial involvement and support from our local businesses, individuals, and families ARE THE PATHWAY to Booster Club Grants given to our athletic programs. In 2021-2022, the Spearfish Spartan Athletic Booster Club has been able to fund many requests from our athletic teams and department. Here are a few examples: • Financial partnership in new SHS Main and Aux Gym Wall and Stair Rail Safety Pads • Funding for Proactive Coaching Motivational Seminars for Parents, Coaches, and Athletes • Financial partnership with Strength Training Nutrition • Financial partnership for funding Tennis Backboard • Funds to support Cross Country Youth Running Programs • Funds for attendance of Spartans at various sports

camps: to reduce costs of camp participation for athlete families / to give athletes new experiences at new camp locations to expand knowledge and bond teams • Funds for Soccer Shade Tents and Warmer Jackets • Funds for new Track and Field Tents • Funds supporting Soccer Juggling Club • Funds for Design and Printing of our game programs • Funds for Annual Athletic Recognition Banquet • Funds for Coach Appreciation Social • $6,000 in Educational Scholarships for Spartan Athletes To accomplish this we are committed to raising funds through: • Annual Queen City Classic Basketball Tournament (Every March) • Annual Golf Scramble (Every August) • Tailgate Donations • Sponsorships from our generous community businesses via our Sports Programs • Other Community Donations Please consider support for Spartan Athletics through the Booster Club: • Monetary donations for general funds, or specific interest • Become a sponsor for one of our events • Attend our Fundraising events • Attending Booster Club Meetings • Join our volunteer list for the option to be involved as needed

What has being on a team taught you? How to support my teammates while also taking care of myself and also how to be competitive while having fun. 3. What are your future plans? I plan to attend a college to earn at least a bachelor’s and possibly go to medical school. I also plan to participate in intramural sports and/or sports clubs. 4. Embarking on my future my hope is to stay involved with dance as much as possible and to live out my passion of beauty and fashion going to cosmetology school and helping make as many women feel beautiful in their own skin as possible. 4.
