Thanks to all of you…YOU… Our generous Community! Our Spearfish community is the reason so many things can happen for our athletes. Financial involvement and support from our local businesses, individuals, and families are the pathway to needed support for our athletic programs. The Spearfish Spartan Athletic Booster Club in 2020-2021 been able to fund several requests from our athletic teams. Here are just a few examples: • Financial partnership with Monument Health Exos Athlete Strength and Conditioning Program • Funds for New Ball Thrower for Tennis Teams • Funds to support Cross Country Youth Running Programs • Funds for various Spartan sports camps to reduce costs of camp participation for athlete families • Funding for Golf Teams virtual golf membership to continue consistency in play if inclement weather • Funds for purchase of Soccer Team Tracker Vests • Funding for new Spartan Travel Gear for every athlete • Funds for Design and Printing of our game programs • $6,000 in Educational Scholarships Our focus is to increase our athlete Development, Performance, Opportunity.

To accomplish this we are committed to providing funds through: • Fundraising * Queen City Classic Basketball Tournament every March * Annual Golf Scramble * Sponsorships from our generous community businesses * Other Community Donations • Scholarships awarded to athletes for furthering education • Recognition of athlete performance, character, and leadership • Financial support for team needs and Athletic Department • Student Athlete Recognition at our Annual Awards Banquet • Community recognition and relationship to unite parents, students, faculty, alumni, in common interest of encouraging interscholastic sports programs. All around the season was fantastic; girls won conference and we had a great group of kids. It was a lot of fun being with all my friends and having a great season. 2. HALLE FJELLAND 1. What is your most memorable sports moment? There was a soccer tournament in Sturgis and it was really muddy. We literally called it the “mud bowl” and my team played the other Spearfish team in the finals. We thought the other team was stacked but we ended up beating them! 2. What has being on a team taught you? Being on a team has taught me that because you can’t do everything by yourself, especially in soccer where there’s 11 people. It is important to always help your teammates and build them up. 3. What are your future plans? I am thinking about doing biomedical engineering, but I’m not sure where I would want to go. 4.
