Project: Hill tourist Resort Resort is a place to spent holiday for relaxation and recreation so that, one can give dynamism to their leisure time. Oxford’s dictionary defines resort as place that is frequented for holidays or recreation or for a particular purpose. One can go and swim in resort, can have lunch, can go just to pass time, plan an overnight stay and lit campfire, artist can complete their portrait, novelist can finish novel, a poet can create his poem and tourist can have charming stay there. A resort can function as a conference center, as a meeting center, as a banquette, as a restaurant, as a health club and various other functions. A resort could be day serving and night serving, and it provides the cuisine service. Aim: To visualize and explore the idea of shopping experience as a stage for the city and translate into desirable form, which includes all of the possibilities of shopping, entertainment, leisure, public spaces, experiential multidimensional spaces, attractive and dynamic environment, freedom of choices, etc. Being in any form that can communicate practically, pragmatic and economically achievable solutions and as together it should reflect the idea of stage for the city
Objectives: To introduce the challenges involved in the design of projects related to diverse needs and ways of contemporary urban life. To enable exploration of the above project with perception, socio- Cultural awareness and innovation. Design stages: Stage 1: Case study & Site selection. In this stage students must understand the design problem by doing the two case studies and site required for the problem must be selected individually. Stage 2: Requirements & Conceptual Design. In this stage students should frame the spatial and area requirements. According to their spatial requirement initial concept design should be finished. Stage 3: Schematic drawing. In this stage students are expected to develop their schematic drawings into detailed working plans, sections, and elevations. With service plans necessary for the design. Stage 4: Detailed drawing. In this stage students are expected to develop their schematic drawings into detailed working plans, sections, and elevations. With service plans necessary for the design. Stage 5: 3D modelling and Presentation. Final stage of the design process involving preparation of 3d models and renderings. Site area: 2.5 Acres Site location: at Yelagiri, Tamilnadu.
