Catering
All pupils have lunch in school and there is an excellent variety of hot and cold food including vegetarian and halal dishes. A healthy eating policy is followed and in all parts of the School pupils choose what they eat. A light tea is provided at the end of the school day for Junior and Senior School pupils. In the Pre Prep tea is available to pupils attending an after school club and for those pupils joining after school care. Current menus can be downloaded from the school’s website.
Pupils and parents can sign in and purchase a breakfast from 7.30am in the main school Dining Hall and many families find this helpful.
“Within Chartwells we love bringing the fun in to food and providing the fuel for a healthy mind and body, whether this is through their daily meals from the servery or our training sessions with our nutrition team. Where there is food there are potential allergens and intolerances and this is very important to us, we have a number of procedures in place to ensure anyone with intolerances or allergens has a safe meal and if anyone has any queries or needs support with this, we are here to help.
We have a catering committee at Chigwell school who we regularly meet to discuss various topics and see if there’s anything we can do to support our pupils. All of what we do here is very much a team effort and if there is anything we can do to support you or if you have any questions regarding catering, please reach out to us.”
