2015 already! After a whirlwind year of government inquiries, a review of the National Quality Framework, changes to our national regulations and renewed investment in professional development, it would be nice to think we have a quieter year ahead; in reality, it’s looking to be another busy year! We hope that our diary will provide new ideas, snippets of inspiration and handy resources to help you navigate your way through the eventful next twelve months in early childhood education and care. This is not only our first diary, but also our first official publication as Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) New South Wales. We are excited to have a new name, new logo and new website, bringing us closer to our national body – the Australian Childcare Alliance – and our fellow state associations across the country. We hope that by the end of 2015, our name and logo will be as familiar to you as our old Child Care New South Wales name and logo were. As the year progresses, if there are tips, resources, cultural dates/celebrations or other information that you think would be great to see in our 2016 diary, please jot them down and let us know, so that you can help ensure our future diaries are as helpful and relevant to early childhood professionals as possible.
