Condoleezza Rice

Condoleezza Rice is the current Director of the Hoover Institution, where she is also a Senior Fellow on Public Policy. She is the Denning Professor in Global Business and the Economy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Rice served as the 66th Secretary of State of the United States, the second woman and first black woman to hold the post. Rice also served as President George W. Bush’s National Security Advisor from January 2001 to January 2005, the first woman to hold the position. In 2022, Rice became a part-owner of the Denver Broncos as part of the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group. Rice currently serves on the boards of C3.ai, an AI software company; and Makena Capital Management, a private endowment firm. In addition, she is Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and a trustee of the Aspen Institute.

Andy Grammer

Emmy award winner and multi-platinum artist Andy Grammer continues to engage, energize, and empower audiences with stomping stadium-size pop anthems meant to be shared at full volume. His observations and affirmations pick people back up when they need it, affirm their potential, and encourage them to keep going.

CHILDREN’S GALA EMCEE

Jason Kotas

Jason Kotas has been a member of the Colorado EMS family for over twenty-two years holding many clinical based positions in the field as well as numerous leadership roles. He recently served as an EMS Captain for Grand County EMS and is currently the EMS Outreach and Education Program Manager at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Jason held a Governor’s appointed position on the Colorado Emergency Medical Practice Advisory Council for eight years, co-chairs the Colorado State EMS Conference Committee and was the recipient of the Emergency Medical Services Association of Colorado Presidents Award in 2021. He is a husband, father, cancer survivor, frequent concert goer and believes strongly in the healing power of laughter.

PATIENT AMBASSADORS

Jude

Jude, 11, is an incoming Children’s Hospital Colorado patient ambassador. Just two years ago, Jude discovered his passion for playing the piano. He has quickly become an extraordinary musician, an amazing feat considering the challenges he has faced in his young life. Weighing only 2 pounds, Jude was born prematurely with numerous complex conditions, including a hole in his heart, which required surgery when he was a baby. Today, Jude is cared for in the Children’s Colorado Special Care Clinic across several different specialties, including cardiology, pulmonology, and ophthalmology, and receives therapy for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Nicholas

Nicholas was one of our original Ambassadors for Children’s Hospital Colorado in 1990. While serving as a patient ambassador, Nicholas had the great fortune of meeting the Denver Nuggets and he was hooked. And for the past 25 years, he’s also been a Nuggets employee, first serving as a locker room attendant and now as a community ambassador for the team. He is a true inspiration!
