We all have traditions we grew up with. Most often we include those traditions around the holidays. For our family, we honor my Swedish heritage. Having an American Dad & a Swedish Mom, we had a fun mix of the two cultures at Christmas time. One of my most favorite traditions is the Santa Lucia or Child of Light. In Sweden, by tradition, she is the eldest daughter of the family, who, at early dawn during the weeks before Christmas, appears at her parents chambers wearing a long white gown

with a red sash & a crown of lighted candles in her hair. She brings hot coffee & sweet saffron buns (we opt for hot cocoa or apple cider at our house). She is escorted by the Stjärngosse or Star Boy(s). He also wears all white. The Star Boy(s) keep busy during the holiday season by singing carols and escorting Lucia through many Christmas celebrations. He is often seen carrying a tall star-tipped wand while singing. The first step in pulling this party together was to

have printables designed by World Wide Party Design. Elena not only gave me everything on my wish list, but exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. From the invitations, to the bottle labels, the artwork was perfect. Our backdrop from Kate Aspen brought it all together - being able to customize the text on it is so fun! Their white lanterns lent the perfect light to the occasion as well. Cloud Berry Crafts print of their felt work was an adorable addition.
Now being in America, I wanted to share this tradition with our children. Our Lucia girl wore my gown from when I was a child, and I believe my Mother wore it as well when she was young. We added Barefoot Sandals from PinkBearBoutique to finish off her outfit. We switched it up for the boys a bit - having pajama’s made by Brenda of Great Stitch. The pants were covered in tiny gold stars, with the shirts having a gold star over their pockets. Carrie from SarletHarlow pulled their outfits together
with her custom made star wands. Both the felt crown of candles & star hat from Mindful Stitching completed their looks. Wanting to have all finger type foods, we paired both traditional foods & fun desserts. We used my Mormor’s (grandmother) recipe for Safron buns. I grew up calling them Swedish cinnamon rolls. 4KidsCakes made the cake pops look like wreaths with bling sticks from Painting Paris Pink & accented with the giant glittered red sprinkles as the
berries from Roni’s Sugar Creations. 4KidsCakes also provided the peppermint chocolate Macaron’s, individual banana breads, and mini red-velvet cake cups, Pepparkaka (Swedish ginger thins), & Sweet Themes sugar cookies finished off the treats.
in both Los Angeles & New York. Celebration Lane’s treat bags & cups were perfect for bringing treats home & for grabbing a quick snack. The lollipops by Lollipics were perfect - I love that they will customize the edible pictures on the fronts of lollipops!
Hoopla Event’s letter candy dishes were the perfect vessels for the swedish fish candies. We also ordered some of my favorite candies from my childhood from Sockerbit.com - a Swedish candy shop, with locations
Always the Occasion’s jars were the ideal vases for the flowers by JNJ Floral. Both ladies always hit it out of the park when I work with them! One of my most favorite parts of this whole party was the paper dolls. I
don’t know about you -but I had those as a child, and Christennoelle.com made us the perfect Lucia set. Our little Lucia girl played with them for hours! We finished off the main table with plates, cups, and some decor from Ikea. If you don’t have a store near you, just keep to reds & whites in your color palate. Mini cClear dome pedastals from Roni’s displayed macarons. Plastic milk bottles from PartyOn!Designs were perfect for drinking sparkling cider.

Fairies are almost synonymous with spring and summer time, but this winter fairy party glittered this little Fairy’s world! Inspired by Disney’s “Secret of the Wings”, this party was all about a Woodland Fairy gone glam! Adding rustic elements to the sparkling sequin table cover sounded far fetched at first, but the final look was made my little fairy flitter and flutter about happily all day. In the movie, Tinkerbelle finds out in the book called “Wingology” why her fairy wings sparkled. She found that her wings only sparkled when another fairy with identical wings was present - revealing of course that she had an identical, but winter fairy sister! So of course, we were inspired by the pretty wing-shaped book and created invitations with a similar feel. The invitations had an organic element with the glamorous but watercolored blue background, calligraphy font and wooden stick wrapped with twine. My little pixie Evangeline decided that her invitations needed some more ‘bling’, so we added rhinestone trimming to the borders. Inside the invitation were woodgrain detailed pages that revealed when and where her party would be.... Well, in a winterized Pixie Hollow of course! We placed them in see-through boxes, and wrapped them in burlap fabric. Each fairy in town also received a mini glittery wand to set the tone for our fairy fest! We had a dress created by Ashley of Dollface and Lace, (adapted from Snazziedrawers’ pattern), which tied together the color and feel of a glittery woodland fairy perfectly. Her gorgeous, whimsical fairy wings were custom made by none other than Australia’s Arabella’s Vintage Wardrobe. Her glittery wand was made by the glitter queen herself, Nikka of Triple M Good Parties. Her insanely delicious, two tiered, gorgeous cake looked as if pixie dust was falling from the top to the bottom, and was made by Chesapeake, Virginia’s Cakes by Crystal.

The most delicious elements came from three of my very special friends in the party business: Roni Placencia from RoniSugarCreations, Samantha Reagin of Evie & Mallow, and All Harvey of AllysonJane. Roni created the most divine and perfectly delicious wood grained cookie confections. Of course, we couldn’t pass up Roni’s delicious winter blue cake pops, and her snowy, enticingly glittery gourmet apples as well (displayed on icy looking silver branches--PERFECTION)! Samantha created snowflake and her original, signature floral cake pops that oozed glitz and glam. To top it off, her genius came through with her mini mushroom meringues that sat on top of chocolate covered cookies that oozed chewy caramel! The most delicious and elaborately designed snowflake sugar cookies and whimsical butterfly cookies were created by my amazing friend Ally of AllysonJane. All in all, we were in Pixie Heaven! Upon the little fairies’ arrival, we had them change into winter blue or white tutus. They then received their glittery fairy wings, and their very own personal glitter fairy house gift boxes and pixie wands that they eventually were able to take home. A woodgrain printed paper sign provided direction for the fairies so they could flitter and flutter towards Pixie Hollow to party. Everyone loved seeing frosted flower decorations in glittered vases, as well as the glittered frames and letters spelling out the fairy celebrant’s nickname, “Eva”, by Triple M Good parties. We made it “feel” as if you were walking into a wintery forest by dangling crystal icicles off of wooden garlands and and also by hanging a gorgeous, lacy and ruffly white backdrop that Julie from Juju’s Tutus custom cut for us to hang. In the end, it was a little winter fairy’s dream!

I designed this printable party package to be a modern and elegant set for a fun adult or kid friendly Christmas Party! It comes complete with everything you need to host an awesome party including Editable Text Files to customize your party needs! I based this Christmas party around the printable files. For this design I though there could never be too much gold or too much glitter:-)! I am a little obsessed with deer head silhouettes right now. So those definitely made their way into the party
package and the decor! The amazing photography was by Heather Carpenter Photography. BackDrop - For the backdrop I used the 11x14 poster prints from the printable package to go on either side of this beautiful gold deer head from Hobby Lobby. I used a simple black foam board from the dollar tree for the main focal point center backdrop. I then used gold ribbon from the dollar section at Michael’s to outline the foam board. Dessert Table - For the
dessert table I fell in love with this Table linen from Candy Crush Events! It really gave the entire set up a pop! Sequins table linens are in right now, and you can see why! They are simply stunning. I then used white and black Milk Glass Cake Stands to house all of the desserts. Bella’s Bakery and Bowtique created stunning Chocolate covered oreos that matched our printable set! They were beautiful and delicious! The adorable cookies that coordinated perfectly with the printable collection were made by
Sweet Baketique. The stunning glitter cake pops were made by Sugar Pop Delights and were absolutely perfect for this table set up! Angela from Cakes By Angela Morrison created some fondant cupcake toppers! I was in awe when I opened the package in the mail to see how perfect they were! I used simple cupcakes form Walmart and embellished them with the cupcake wrappers from this printable set and the adorable fondant toppers.

I then used Deer Head Silhouette stickers from Pink Poppy Party Shoppe. She also created the amazing Merry Christmas Cake topper! I used Tulle Pom Pom Toppers made by Debra Walters to add some Pizaz to my Walmart cupcakes on the DIY cupcake stands. I needed one more dessert for one side of the table. I wanted something quick and easy. so I purchased clear party cups. Then I add large glue dots on the cups and sprinkled glitter on top of some. The others I painted the base with modge podge then added the glitter. I filled them with yogurt added a party logo from the printable package and a small dessert spoon! DIY Cupcake Stands - I purchased a 6 pack of candlestick holders in the unfinished wood section at Hobby Lobby. I then spray painted them gold. I purchased a 6 pack of carboard coasters in the dollar section at Target. I then simply hot glued the two together. Seating Table I wanted to create a visual deer antler chandelier. My sweet husband let me spray paint one of his large antlers gold. He likes to go out and find antlers that deer have shed at the farm. I hung the antler from a light fixture. I then took clear ornaments from Hobby Lobby and filled with gold mylar confetti. I used fish line to hang them from the large antler. For the table I used black construction paper as the placemat. I used a dot paint brush to add some gold polka dots with gold craft paint. I then used black plates purchased from Dollar Tree. I also purchased the wine glasses at dollar tree. I painted the stems with modge podge and sprinkled glitter over the top. I used a cake stand for the centerpiece and place trees from Hobby Lobby and gold ornaments around it. For the base I used some small deer antlers that I spray painted gold. For the chair decor I used paper fans and attached a party circle from this printable collection to the center. Then simply used ribbon to attach to the chair. Tree - I wanted to keep the tree simple. I used a black tree and added gold balls form Hobby Lobby. Then a black and white ribbon from Michaels.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and what better way to celebrate than with an adorably festive Cookies and Cocoa holiday party! Our Cookies & Cocoa holiday party was inspired by the adorable North Pole Printable Collection designed by Anders Ruff (http://shop.andersruff.com/ north-pole-christmas-party-printables?filter_name=north%20pole). Its classic holiday caricatures along with its whimsical palette provided the perfect inspiration for this event! From the chicly charming holiday decor to the pretty pastel sweets, this party had us ready to bake, decorate and enjoy some holiday cheer! Our tiny cookie makers were greeted with their very own personalized pastry chef hats and sweet snowflake aprons created by Great Stitch (http:// www.greatstitch.com/). After dressing the part, they entered their very own pink retro KidKraft kitchen, complete with refrigerator. The detailing on this set allowed for fun imaginative play and of course, adorable photos! Our
pink kitchen was full of all the fun culinary tools one would need to create such cute cookies, including a wooden rolling pin, mixing bowl, heart measuring spoons and whisks from Kate Aspen (http://www.kateaspen.com/) and custom designed oven mitts from Cupcake With Character. The kitchen’s adorable decor was comprised of a blue fabric bunting from The Banner Shoppe and an exquisite sugar cookie garland created by Creating Awesomenessity and custom made COCOA letters. Our miniature bakers could hardly wait to taste the delicious snowflake, mitten, reindeer and hot cocoa mug inspired cookies created by Katie’s Creative Baking(http://www.katiescreativebaking.com/). And what better way to wash down a holiday cookie than with a cool drink of milk. Hoopla Events’ (http://hooplaevents.net/) plastic milk carafes were the perfect way to display the pastel refreshment and blue and white paper straws from Celebration Lane (http://www.cele-
brationlane.com/) helped the kids get every last sip! While their cookies cooled, our chefs made their way to the winter wonderland of sweets, including gingerbread house cake pops from The New York Cake Poppery, made even more gorgeous with gold shimmer sticks from Painting Paris Pink (http://paintingparispink.com/), cupcakes adorned with petite thematic fondant toppers from Kima’s Konfections (http://www. thenewyorkcakepopery.com/), icy blue chocolate covered Oreos from Bella’s Bakery and Bowtique (https://www. facebook.com/BellasBakeryandBowtique) pink and white striped marshmallow pole candy from Sweets from Heaven, Outlets at Orange and a variety of colorful candy from Sweetworks Sixlets and Gumballs! And of course, all of the kids just loved the wooden reindeer custom created by Ten23Designs (http://www.ten23designs.com/) and the fun and frilly tassel garland from Fancy & Fold (http://www.bellessweets.com/) !

WHO-LIDAY INVITATIONS & PRINTABLE DÉCOR: Tonya of Soiree Event Design knocked my candy cane striped stockings off with her perfectly coordinating Who-liday printable invitation and party decor. Her printable package includes everything you need to add that Seussical feel. From cupcake toppers, scroll chair backer signs, banners, favor tags & labels, folding food labels, straw/party flags & beverage wraps, there’s unlimited possibilities for your Who-liday celebrations! She designed everything to match the lines of Party Paper I chose & captured the wonder & whimsy of Whoville in a magical way. I love the cute wording on the invitation inviting friends to come to our Who-house at a quarter past 4 and to look for the Who wreath on our front door. [By-the-way, when your invitation says to look for a Who wreath on your door, you have to have one and can’t disappoint. Our adorable Who wreath was hand created by the amazing Jordan of Designs by Jordan. We added a cute scroll sign from Soiree Event Design’s printable package to tie everything together. WHO-LIDAY FASHION: Our party goers arrived in Who-ish attire and accessories. I just adore the cute dresses, hair accessories, lace leggings and tie from Posh Peanuts! Necklaces for our little Cindy-Lous were handmade by Addy’s Attic and were the perfect addition to the girls’ outfits. And check out that hat! Doesn’t that just scream Who to you too? It’s amazing what a few perfectly selected accessories and pieces of clothing will do to create the perfect themed party mood! WHO-LIDAY FEASTING: Little Whos need a fabulous table for feasting! Our Who-liday party table was so festive and fun. Using Party Paper we added an eye-catching red striped table runner to our kid-friendly dining table & spruced up boring chairs with some chair backers made from green polka dotted Party Paper topped off with red paper ribbon accents and a cute Whoville Guest scroll sign. Each place setting had a fun Christmas cracker filled with candy from Candy Galaxy (an easy DIY idea using Party Paper, ribbon & toilet paper rolls), striped color coordinating plates, polka dot napkins and stamped cutlery from the Smash Cake & Co. shop, and of course the cutest bottles of Grinch green punch decked out for the holidays. (We wrapped the milk bottles in party paper & added a beverage wrap, ribbon and small wreath.) Affordable candy tree centerpieces were made from candy from Candy Galaxy hot glued to foam cones from The Dollar Tree. We made DIY mini dessert stands with candle sticks, glass plates (also from The Dollar Tree) and some Epoxy 6000 glue & accessorized them with
a little Party paper circle. WHO-LIDAY SWEETS: Every Who down in Whoville likes sweet treats a lot… But the Grinch who lived north of Whoville did not. That is, until he came to our feast. We’re pretty certain we changed his mind. A dessert table was designed with fun Christmas treats that little Who fans would love, all displayed in colorful ways on a gorgeous ruffled tablecloth from Candy Crush Events. There were Cindy Lou cupcakes (we loved creating the Party Paper rosettes with cute WHO-liday printables for the toppers), Who Jell-o served in adorable dessert jars (such a fun layered dessert inspired by Anders Ruff ’s tutorial), ornament and present shaped cake bites & chocolate covered Oreos for Santa (both by Bella’s Bakery & Bowtique). There were rice krispy treats, hand dipped in chocolate and jars of candy filled with so many red & green delights from Candy Galaxy. But, in the center of them all, were the cutest Grinch cookies ever seen, each with a heart that had grown 3 sizes that day! As you can see we carried the colorful Party Paper over to our dessert table as both the background, the table runner & to create rosettes for our banner & cupcake toppers and line our cake stands and trays. Polka dots, stripes & pops of chevron oh my! A darling whimsical tree portrait included in the printable package by Soiree Event Design was framed as a focal point for our table. WHO-LIDAY FAVORS: Who-liday party must have Who favors. Darling gable boxes dressed up in holiday style (more paper ribbon & cute gable box labels & tags from Soiree Event Design) were available to each little guest to fill with treats from the dessert table & even more sweet treats from the treat hutch, where glittered laser cut candies & custom Who Hair cotton candy favors were displayed. Our cute little guests were able to take sweet Who inspired treats home to enjoy later. I would like to give a big thank you to Karina Rigtrup of A Fresh Take Photography for working her magic behind the lens and capturing the fun of the day.

“You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch.” If you aren’t familiar with that classic phrase, there’s a good chance you might be living under a rock. I’ll be honest, I love everything about the Dr. Seuss classic, from the cranky green Grinch to whimsical Whoville and the adorable Whos. A Grinch-inspired Christmas party has been on my party planning bucket list for a few years now! When the opportunity to plan and style such a party came about, I may have actually squealed, loudly. Styling this party was so fun! When I think of a Who-liday party, I think of polka dots & stripes, pops of unexpected patterns like chevron, crazy shades of red & green & touches of whimsy! So when I began designing this party, that’s exactly what I included! Our Happy Who-liday party was literally inspired by a new exciting product to hit the party world, exclusively available from Smash Cake & Co. It’s “Party Paper”, and I think I’m in love! What? What’s that you say? You’ve never heard of Party Paper? It might just be the best thing since Roast Beast or Who pudding! I predict that it will be a big party trend! Not only is it a premium quality 50# matte wrapping paper, but it was designed to coordinate perfectly with Smash Cake & Co.’s boutique party ware and can be used for so many purposes from the obvious gift wrap to table runners, party backdrops, banners, rosettes, chair backers & more! You will see it used in several creative ways for our celebration! In the past, I have found it hard to perfectly coordinate my background fabric with cardstock, ribbon & other party décor items. But now, with one product, I can easily coordinate my entire party at a fraction of the cost in far less time! No more going to store after to store trying to match products! Plus, with their Party Ribbon (basically thin strips of Party Paper), you can easily substitute it for things on which you would use wide ribbon. For this event, I used the cherry red & apple green lines of Party Paper as the basis for our entire event.

“The concept behind this Candy Land styled wedding rehearsal dinner is to inspire couples to relax, let loose and partake in a memorable pre-party with their wedding party that truly showcases their personalities just before their big day. The rehearsal dinner is a place to get away with throwing almost any type of party – even a full on Candy Land theme inspired by a favorite childhood memory! There are many DIY elements throughout this Candy Land styled photo shoot that are easily attainable and can transition from the rehearsal dinner into the wedding day, like the felt poinsettias and tissue paper peonies bouquet. Additionally, the pom pom ornaments that were tied to the back of the chairs could be lined down the aisle for the wedding. Candy bars, dessert bars and drink stations can be completely personalized with the couples favorite candies, desserts and signature drinks. In this case, old-fashioned candies were carefully hand-picked to represent each of the Candy Land characters. There is also a peppermint hot cocoa bar complete with a marshmallow garland backdrop to give the rehearsal dinner party a holiday feel. Mixing chic design elements together like the turquoise wall, blush pink linens, gold chairs and

flatware, vintage dresser and vintage place settings creates a real-life Candy Land ambiance that is both meaningful and best represents the couple’s styles. Maison Du Bonbon came about with the intent for my daughter’s to learn how to be entrepreneurs at a young age. I wanted them to learn how to make money with something they enjoy doing. Maison Du Bonbon sells silicon molds, tools and cake supplies for cake decorating. The inspiration for this business came about when I started to have several questions from followers regarding how I accomplished my techniques. I wanted to be able to provide my fan base with the tools of the trade. So I helped them open up a shop on Instagram and Facebook http://instagram.com/maisondubonbon https://www.facebook.com/pages/Maison-du-Bonbon/343225132491516 Roni’s Sugar Creations started in 2005 during a time when I was experiencing postpartum depression and needed a creative outlet in which to express myself. I started off by making a wide variety of desserts, including candy apples, cupcakes, cake pops. My background is actually in World history and a minor in Art History, but my mom was a pastry chef, I however was not interested in making desserts when I was younger. My business has grown over the years by putting in lots of late nights of hard work, networking, and collaborating with fellow industry members. The key for me has been consistency. One of my favorite projects that I have worked on has been Operation Shower, this is a non-profit organization benefiting military moms. I have been able to provide my baked goods to this
event which celebrates mom’s to be with a baby shower who’s husbands are on deployment or are away from family members. Some blogs that inspireme are: http://www.hwtm.com/ http://iambaker.net/ http://www.themarthablog.com/ and http://karenscookieblog.com/ The main services I offer are: Custom cakes,Candy Apples ,Cupcakes, Cake Pops, Sugar Cookies, and Petite Patisserie. I attribute my success to my mom because she is the one who inspires me to keep going forward with my business and reach for the stars. I am a mother of 3 beautiful kids, I love to travel and have traveled to almost 20 countries. My favorite colors are black and white, my favorite style is french theme decor. My Favorite food is French food, especially beef bourgignon. My favorite tv shows: Top Chef, Chew, and the Borgias The last book I read was the Borgias, that is why I enjoy the show so much. I can be contacted: http://ronisugarcreations.com/ http://instagram.com/ronisugarcreations As for what is in the future for me, I would love to eventually publish a book dedicated to my gourmet candy apples and open up a cake supply boutique store.

I’ve wanted to do a shoot inspired by the Wizard of Oz for so long, since it’s my favorite movie OF ALL TIME. Since Oz The Great and Powerful was coming out, it seemed like the perfect time to make this shoot happen. I really wanted to stay true to the essence of the story, which has a lot of meaning for me. I see myself in Dorothy: going on adventures to search for something, finding best friends along the way, defeating inner demons until finally realizing you have everything within you. And it’s been there all along. You’re brave, strong and there’s nothing else you could possibly want because you have everything. Once you realize you don’t need a Love, that’s when you find it…

I whipped this little event up for an adult birthday in less than a month. I absolutely love doing geeky themes so this was a real treat. The client’s only request was that Darth be the exclusive focus. The only item that was Star Wars themed was one of the display boxes. Everything else was strictly Darth. Welcome to the dark side.

The crack of the bat The roar of the crowd The ball sailing over the fence, A little boy’s dreams often turn to heroics on the baseball field. The American pastime still holds a special place in the hearts of young and old alike...but especially for little boys. For a couple of baseball-dreaming best friends, a “Slugger Sleepover” made the perfect theme for a fifth birthday party. GreatStitch did all the monogramming and PJ pants. One thing we’re learned is that sleepovers go so much better with a theme--it just seems to keep everything on track. Starting with the moment they come in and change into their baseball PJ/uniforms, it sets the pace for them to be together as a team. Who doesn’t love a good cake pop? Autumn Lynns Chocolate Sins made some special just for this party. They were lemon on the inside...so yummy! Gypsy Canon took the fun photos of this event. She has a way of capturing the details that make me want to eat everything in the photo! The pancake cake we made using a big cookie cutter (a jar lid actually) on the pancakes after they were cooked. Then we layered peanut butter and pancakes. Forever Your Prints was kind enough to ask us to do a baseball party and we loved the idea! The printables for this party are all from them, and they are adorable! We used drink wraps, a birthday banner, a welcome sign, thank you tags, cupcake wrappers and number squares. SomeMoBracelets has some really awesome ideas for bracelets! I loved that these look and feel like a baseball! The boys loved them too! We found a tent (cringe...did I just use that word?) Yes, awesome tent...I said it! Embark has a really kewl tent system where you can actually put it together in about 5 minutes. What better way to have a backyard sleep over 86

than a tent that goes together quickly! Maybe you’ve done these kinds of tents before, but the old clanky pole system has made me walk away from tents. But as life often has teaching moments, we needed a tent, so I tried again...love it! I really do. I didn’t have to read or look at the diagram... so very easy! The boys loved their name on their own bat to take home. Mike at Precision Engraving has figured out a way to do it on round bats! The boys and I loved them! I see so many birthday and Christmas gifts coming his way! He has knives and yoyos, cards holders...you name it...this quality engraving is a really fun gift! Promise Pretzels has made us baseball pretzels. The ball was a marshmallow...we thought it was really clever, and can you ever go wrong with a chocolate covered pretzel? My dad always talks about a black diamond watermelon. When I tasted it again for this party, it is so different from a regular watermelon! The local farmers market in Broken Arrow is where we find ours...fresh is always best! It’s bittersweet to see kids grow up. They have their challenges with every age, but along with those challenges come some really fun days. We were so thrilled to be part of this day with our buddy Jack. He and his bestie took some awesome pictures for us!
