Q: How long have you been bringing glitter and sparkle to fun loving fans around the world? A: While I have been a longtime crafter and glitter-lover, with various blogs and projects over the years, we only just launched The Confetti Bar site on June 1st, 2013 and it’s been a crazy confetti ride ever since! Q: What inspires you? A: All sorts of things! Anything, everything. I know it’s not very exciting to say that, but it’s true! I could be watching a movie, walking around a store, overhear a conversation, reading a book, searching online, or just talking to friends & family and inspiration can strike at any moment. Q: What are your favorite things to do with confetti A: For the most part I just like to display confetti in pretty jars. It makes me happy to just look at it. But I also think it’s really fun to throw
confetti in a Photo Booth. The pictures end up priceless! Q: We are convinced Confetti is making a huge impression in the party industry and will be popping up everywhere in 2015 with The Confetti Bar leading the way, What do you see in the future for The Confetti Bar? A: I like to think that the possibilities are endless, but I must say I am already extremely blessed to be able to make confetti for a living. If I could spend the rest of my days doing just that, I think I would be a very lucky girl. But of course I have dreams of expanding my confetti offerings and being able to produce more while still keeping true to my handmade, custom, & unique mixes.
photo booths are usually at the top of my list for any event. They are all versatile and leave a lot of room for customization. Q: What is your all time favorite blog? A: Ooh…that’s a tough choice. I love so many and am inspired by all the creatives behind them. But I do find myself completely in love with my dear friend Madeline’s site, www.ohmygemini.com. On her blog she writes about anything and everything, from projects and travel, to recipes and personal tidbits. She somehow seems to be able to capture all of life’s random thoughts in the most beautiful, succinct, and inspiring way.
Q: What are your top 3 Confetti projects that are you go to idea’s for any occasion? A: Confetti Poppers, Confetti bars w/ favor bags, and confetti PARTY STYLE Magazine

Q: Tell us about you where do you live, kids, Hubby, favorite color, Food, thing to do on a Saturday morning? A: I live in central CT with my husband, Clifford (master custom confetti designer extraordinaire) and am very close to my family. No kids yet, but we do have our super spoiled cat, Curious. My favorite color is either glitter or rainbow. My favorite food is always changing, but I love salads. While I usually spend most of the weekend working on confetti, I love being able to sleep in a little later on Saturdays and just kind of hang 10

around with no real plan or place to be. Q: Where do we get more Confetti Goodness? Online in person ? A: While I do attend some local events & fairs, for now most of what I do can be found online. My blog, blog.theconfettibar.com, is also a place where I try to provide lots of confetti inspiration!

A Easter Brunch full of sunny skies and butterflies. The girls enjoyed a day of sunshine and filled their tummies with lots of sweet goodies like an array of donuts, breads, fresh fruit, parfaits and freshly squeezed juice. The treats

with linen of different textures and patterns. Each place setting had a box for lunch tied with yellow ribbon and butterflies. The chairs were tied with chair skirts of tulle and oversized butterflies. Centerpieces were of simple Granny

It’s a Ladybug Girl themed party! The Ladybug Girl, by David Soman and Jacky Davis, is a delightful story for children to use their imaginations and to build teamwork. The Ladybug Girl and it’s series has been a family favorite amongst my girls. I knew it was only a matter of time before I would create a party based on their favorite bedtime read.

With a fun story and whimsical illustrations, it was a snap to plan, design and execute a festive kids’ party that wowed adults and thrilled the little ones. The Ladybug Girl color palettes and theme is carried throughout the decorations, party favors, and treats; making this one inviting ladybug party! I loved seeing how happy the kids were to dress up as their favorite “bug,” as well as the large colorful mural used as the backdrop, and the spectacular ladybug cookies. Oh and who can forget the
trusty dog, “Bingo” who was in the midst of all the fun!

Wanting to switch things up from
the usual football decorations, we purchased NFL window clings to decorate candy jars. Shabby sisters made an adorable distressed wooden sign & Shontay had the perfect wreath to tie it all together.
For the dessert table, a Hawk cake with a touch of the “12 on it was the perfect touch. To create the backdrop, we used the 12th Man Flag & made paper chains like from when we were all kids. Cake pops & chocolate covered oreos are always a tween favorite & had to be part of the display. Fondant topped cupcakes with fun sayings from favorite players were added. Cookies from Sweet Themes Bakery was a must. My kids are lucky that I make all the other treats their hearts desire. 42

hen it comes to gorgeous cookies - I am happy to support Sweet Themes. They totally outdid themselves. Marshmallow pops decorated as footballs (on skewers from Party City) gave us the football element. No Seahawks party is complete without Skittles candies. A staple at any grocery store you would think....but fans here are so enthusiastic, they were hard to come by around the Superbowl! Seahawks player Marshawn Lynch eats them before every game, and they have become a game day neccessity around here. They even have a burger at the stadium that is served with a side of skittles!
k
eeping costs down is important, so when I stumbled upon blue and green cups at the Dollar Store - I
had to use them. I had a friend cut out vinyl for me & turned them into Seahawks cups. Add a printable flag from PartyOn!Designs and they were a hit & a favor all the tweens could take home. Munchies included chips, popcorn in adorable favor boxes from Banner Events, and a few other items. We stamped footballs on cups from PartyOn!Designs to hold our veggies. It was a fun Birthday party that could easily be twisted into a game day party or tail gate.

Knight and Dragon Themed Birthday Party This party was extra fun and interesting to plan. Our son and I picked the theme last summer. Like with all of my parties, I research the theme very thoroughly. The history of knights was quite interesting. I really love the Code of Chival52

ry. We were able to use a very important graphic element in the party’s design which was one of our family’s coat of arms (my husband’s family). His aunt has been the genealogist for their family for about 40 years and has traced back their family tree over 100 generations! This particular family coat of arms that we used in a lot of the designs is 1 of 19 family crests that his aunt has found. This particular family coat of arms even is of a royal bloodline. Incredible! So, not only was this our lil’ guy’s 4th birthday celebration, but it was also really neat to delve into a bit of my husband’s and our children’s
What Inspired this Royal Party ? family history. The morning of the birthday party, our lil’ guy, the birthday boy, woke up to four decorated tables and he said “Is this for my birthday party? It’s beautiful!” He went checking out all the tables and then later before the party my husband and I heard and watched him give one of his neighbor friends a tour of the tables. He pointed out the different details and said “Don’t touch that’s for decoration” and “Those are for the boys and those are for the girls” as he referred to the party favors. It was so cute! He loved everything about the party. My vendors are unbelievably talented! I couldn’t be more pleased with
such a great team. I really appreciate all of their hard work. A special thanks to all of our family and friends who drove in from out of town to attend the party. That means a lot to us. Happy Birthday Baby Bear! I can’t believe you’re 4-years old already. We love you!

berry love. Everyone’s favorite berry embellishes everything from the table runner & bunting, to the festive piùata and yummy lip gloss favors. The dessert table backdrop features a lovely and delicate cluster of tissue flower strawberries. There are so many sweet-tooth-enticing elements in this celebration, including
strawberry-shaped sugar cookies, the strawberry-flavored candy bar, cupcakes topped with strawberries, and a beautiful strawberry pink ruffle frosted cake. Happy pink & red polka dot balloons are tied to back of each chair and bright red flowers add another pop of color in galvanized buckets, serving as the table centerpieces.
And no picnic is complete without a perfectly packed lunch in wooden strawberry baskets with refreshing strawberry lemonade in mason drinking glasses. Makes for a fabulous summer birthday or a “just-because” afternoon picnic. It’s a berry sweet soiree that’s extra juicy & delicious!

Hop into Spring When I first got into party planning, I was researching ideas and resources for my own wedding back in 2010. Candy buffets and themed parties had just started to gain popularity, so basic things like striped paper bags and straws were few and far between (hard to believe, right?). It took me an entire afternoon to find bright pink and white striped treat bags for my circus themed wedding, and once I finally tracked some down I was willing to pay any amount for them! Everyone sells them now, and I mean EVERYONE. There is no reason to pay a premium price for items that can be found at Walmart and Target. Now, If I have a client
