8 Myths About Toddlers' Sleep

 While infants typically sleep between 12 to 16 hours, toddlers can sleep from 12 to 14 hours, even when they reach the age of 5.  Toddlers must have correct sleeping habits, so it would not affect their later learning, overweight, or less cognitive.  Unlike the myth, toddlers become more hyperactive as they feel tired and their bedtime escalates.  The myth about toddlers not needing nap times is an absolute lie. Toddlers can still nap and sleep up to 14 hours a day.

Common myths you hear about toddlers' sleep 1. The night light can hurt a baby's vision  You can always use dim night lights in your toddler's bedroom.  It would make them feel safe and assess their well-being without needing bright light.


2. Toddlers tend to sleep all night  Studies say toddlers wake up from their sleep several times throughout the night.  Some kids go back to sleep without giving a peep.

3. Toddlers must sleep less than infants at night  Most toddlers lose their daytime sleep steadily, but they are still required to sleep 11 to 12 hours at nighttime.  By the age of 6, their sleeping requirement would reduce to 9-12 hours.
