9 Must-Eat Nutrients for Your Child  Eating healthy is crucial, especial for kids since they require necessary nutrients and vitamins for their growth.  Without keeping up with some compulsory nutritional supplement, children can suffer poor concentration levels, anemia, depression, malnutrition, etc.  Kids can be picky eaters. So get creative to make their dishes colourful, which can attract them.  They should at least consume nine nutrients daily for a balanced diet to help grow a healthy brain and body.

1. Protein  Protein produces building blocks for a growing body, boosts the immune system.  Proteinaceous foods such as meat, poultry, eggs, nuts, beans, etc., help break down food into energy and transport oxygen through the blood.


2. Carbohydrates  Carbohydrates are made of a sugaring family that gives the most energy to the body for using fat and protein.  Starchy and fibrous foods such as bread, cereals, rice, potatoes, etc., are recommended.

3. Fats  Fat is a great source of energy that can be stored in the kid’s body to grow.  Foods such as dairy products, cooling oils, meats, fish, nuts contain a high-fat level.

4. Calcium  Calcium is essential to achieve healthy bones and teeth. The element improves blood clotting and heart nerve, muscle functions.  Milk, cheese, egg, spinach, broccoli, etc., contains a high level of calcium.

5. Iron  Iron is important for producing purified blood and supply oxygen to every cell in the body.  Red meats, poultry, whole grains, beans, nuts carry more iron.

6. Folate  Folate is essential for the healthy growth of kid’s cells. Its lack can result in anemia.  Foods like whole grain, lentils, spinach, asparagus, sprouts, etc., are rich in folate level.


7. Fiber  Fibre helps with bowel regulation in kids and reduces the risk of heart diseases and cancer.  Whole grain, nuts, lentils, kidney beans are fibrous foods.

8. Vitamin-A  Vitamin A helps in achieving healthy eyes, skin and prevents infection.  Carrots, spinach, cabbage, egg, fish oils, etc., are high in vitamin A.

9. Vitamin C  Vitamin C works on strengthening the body cells, walls of blood vessels, heal wounds.  Citrus fruits, tomatoes, papaya, spinach, broccoli are rich in Vitamin C.
