Designed by veteran wine package designer, Jeffrey Caldewey, the new Momokawa label removes Japanese calligraphy from the label while still keeping an impression of calligraphic style. The artwork on the label is drawn from Zen Ei Sho, a nontraditional Japanese calligraphy. On the label, “Momo” is placed above “Kawa” as if it were written in Japanese. Momokawa is the result of a deconstructed Japanese label put back together combining American and Japanese cultures.
