Hello again, my furry and not so furry friends! It’s so nice to have a little woof with you once more! I hope you have all stayed safe and well?
I’m sure that, like me, you made the most of Lockdown. I certainly see some super gardens on my walkies!
In my house, someone set up a nice new desk in the study for me to snooze under. The constant tapping of their keyboard disturbed me slightly, as did requests of ‘budge up Otis, I need to be able to actually do my work here now.’ But I didn’t let that stop me from stretching my soft self out fully and getting as cosy as possible. Apologies if you heard me snoring on my human’s conference calls..
A nice comfy purple yoga mat appeared too, complete with a human trying to keep up her fitness. I like to think my laying on top of her helped with that.
I was also invited to a teddy bears’ picnic, held upstairs as opposed to in the park, during Lockdown. It certainly kept me amused, although I’m not sure the cuddly toys had as much fun. Apparently it’s bad form to gnaw on fellow guests.
Home learning didn’t quite go according to plan either - the only pi mastered was chicken and leek, and Otis Care was soon added to
the curriculum. ‘If Otis parks himself in front of you, wags his tail and refuses to move, that means he’d like his kibble,’ my older humans told the younger ones. Well, I’m not called a clever boy most days for no reason. Now, whenever I get a little peckish, I settle myself in the middle of the little boy’s football goal and wag my tail. And he fills my bowl! Then, I wander over to the little girl and block her view of the television. I wiggle my tail – she tops up my bowl! Brilliant! All this talk of food is making my tummy rumble. Time to obstruct another human, I fancy! Your friend, Otis
