Through sharing our dreams and investigations into the self, we seek to develop a common language of symbols to reach our innermost self and heal. Through art, we collectively help overcome the oppression that comes with being female-identifying artists in a male-dominated field, and world. By opening a discussion between peers we hope to release the stigma of mental illness, sexuality, and anger amongst creative individuals. As unique individuals we each struggle with our own illness and perceptions of atrocities in modern day society, and through communication we hope to break down the walls that make us feel isolated, alone, and out of control. We hope to extend this dialogue to a wider community and bring about a new level of honesty and self reflection that could ultimately reinvent the ways in which we communicate with each other, and support one another in such a tumultuous and oppressive environment.
