My portfolio shows the method I use to achieve design project. Composer is the word I thought would best define my method of design. Design and fine arts have totally different concepts, but they both exist in my brain. In my own words, design is there to communicate with audiences through visual explanation. A designer will have clients, so she needs to know the main idea that clients want to convey to their target audiences. A designer reaches the end result by using the appropriate media in the given time period. To comparing art with design, artists start a project without a client. They use art to show what’s in their minds. They can do whatever they are interested in. Artists are focusing on themselves rather than others. My design is seeming a compound subject. It contains two very different ideas coming from design and art. Because there is a conflict between two ideas, I often find that I am facing two opposite ideas while doing projects and I welcome that. The result is I enjoy the process of finding a balance between two conflicting subjects, and I believe this process makes my design become better and more effective.

To give a new soul to a dead or stagnating brand and extends the possibilities of the brand. BR I EF
Brief The Ilford brand was once famous for illustrating the power and simplicity of its black and white imagery. Just as “the soul of wit is brevity,” “the soul of elegance is simplicity.” For example, film noir is a classic film genre that relies on the suggestive power of black and white. Typography is a study in on the subtle possibilities of black and white design. Ilford will utilize the power and beauty of this aesthetic and extend it into an imaginative line of products that captures its essential elegance.

To make a complex set of materials function together and to expand the design solutions to encompass a wide palette of formats.
Finding the real meaning from film lists is the most challenge part during developing the project. By watching selected Danny Boyle’s films and researching about the director, I think “hope” is the theme that the director wants to pass to his audiences. I make up a soul for the film festival: Life presents us with opportunities for change. If we are strong enough to make the right choices, we can survive the cruelty in the world around us. The alternate journeys festival is a trip through the worlds of Boyle’s creation. Showing the diverse and divergent paths taken by his characters.

To create an exhibition a promotional set.
Over the past half-century, artists have increasingly accounted for the physical presence of their audience in the conception, production, and presentation of their work. “Dual� comprises works drawn from the ICC collection that demonstrate how art has reflected, if not anticipated, a larger cultural shift towards a greater agency for the individual (or the appearance of such) in the public realm. Inspired by the physical relationship of the viewer in the experience of contemporary art, I think about mirrors, which reflect the viewers. The image in the mirror is a reflection. It looks like the object, but it is not the same thing. Finally, I use the gradient color to show the relationship between the artwork and the audience.

To redesign an album cover for a music group.
As described in details, “Delorean’s new album, Subiza—named after the bucolic basque town in which it was recorded – is Delorean’s defining work to date. Fusing relentless hands-in-theair club rhythms with the shimmering melodies they’ve long toyed with, it drips with decades of dance floor history while retaining Delorean’s own adventurous voice. Densely layered digital production is sent back through analog tape to conjure a warm, whirling aesthetic that feels organic and fresh.” Following their description of the album, I constructed as set of pieces that interacted with the viewer like the music interacts with its audience.

To design a digital cover for magazine.
People are starting to read magazines and newspapers through digital formats. I am creating the covers of these magazines, animating them by using motion graphics. I chose to make an IdN magazine cover for the geometric issue. The concept is based on the idea that simple geometric shapes can create everything. It inspired me to title my project glory of simplicity. The golden colors are chosen to show the feeling of glory.

It’s about what I think about the immediate future of technology. In my imagination, the future looks like many user-friendly designs already filling our living environments. The main concept of the book is artificial intelligence. Basically, it introduces some history of technology and has deeper explanations of what future technology sounds like. I want to make this book have warm the audience’s heart. To bring the humanity into the project, it contains hand made elements instead of computer generated patterns.

To follow the concept of dance, I created a poster and brochure.
Brief There are many types of dance, but I chose to focus on a contemporary dance style. In the selection of dance films, those directors use their points of view to show their ideas about dance. The inspiration comes from one of the movies, where a director uses a unique angle to create an unusual physical environment. Finally, I decided to experiment with typography and use it to convey the idea of an unusual feeling of gravity.

To create a series of paintings and show what I want to convey through visual expression.
The idea of this series of paintings came from showing personal vision of lines and shapes. Instead of traditional painting, I used form board and tile cardboard to emphasize the line and reach my goals. In the end, I used many different kinds of pen and brush to highlight the shape of the lines, which filled some kind of spirit and movement into a simple composition. The theme of the paintings is to showing the idea of my anxious spirit living in this noise metropolis and finally emerging into a quiet sanctuary which is not a place, but a peace of mind.

To photograph the interesting subjects in my life.
I think this chapter doesn’t need to talk too much. I tried to write some thoughts and feeling about the series of photographic works. It’s not about professional skills so much as how I read the world through a lens.
There is a thing deep in my mind. A wild creature comes from nowhere. It has a blurry shape, and sometimes it murmurs. A strange smell sticks on my face and nose. Now I float, up and down. Everyone is an island floating in gray liquor. I can decide to make connections or not. That’s how I survive. Visitors come randomly, so the relationship is not too tight or loose. That’s how I survive. I lie down and let the liquor over my face. That’s how I survive. The scenes spin…

To creates a campaign that benefits to society.
The Lactic Overload Project is created for raising the awareness about lactose intolerance in the United States, and providing alternative non-dairy choices. It is a program to help lactose intolerant in sufferers. Lactose intolerance is a genetic disease and is developed through a progression into adulthood. There are very few lactose/lactase issues present at birth. These facts make people easily to ignore the problem. The symptoms of lactose intolerance are abdominal pain, abdominal cramps, intestinal bloating, gas/flatulence, diarrhea, and nausea. If it happens to infants or children, it can result in slow growth and weight loss. We want to educate parents about these problems and provide alternative dietary choices through a campaign of multimedia deliverables.
