INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES APPEARING FOR EXAMINATIONS CANDIDATES taking University examinations are required to observe the following instructions very carefully : 1. Legal suits against University, if any, shall be filed in courts within the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam city only. 2. University reserves the right of allotment of Examination Centres to individual candidates as well as Colleges also. 3. Silence should be maintained in the Examination Hall. 4. Candidates should take their places in the examination hall at least five minutes before the time fixed for distributing the papers. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after half an hour of commencement of examination. Candidates who are undoubtedly suffering from infectious diseases of any kind will not be admitted. Candidates should bring with them their hall-tickets : each day of the examination for inspection by the Chief Superintendent/Invigilators. 5. Candidates are prohibited from writing anything on their hall-tickets and question papers. Candidates are also prohibited from writing their names or any other name unconnected with the answers on any part of their answer books, but they should write their Register Numbers very distinctly on the title papers of the main answer book. Failing which their answer papers may be rejected. They should fill in the subject and the year on the outer cover of the main answer book. REGISTER NUMBER SHOULD NOT BE NOTED ON THE ADDITIONAL ANSWER BOOKS. 6. Candidates are not allowed to exceed the time assigned to a paper. 7. No Candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the expiry of at least one and half hours after the question paper is given. Candidate who leaves the hall during the period allotted for a paper will not be allowed to re-enter the examination hall. 8. Candidates are forbidden to ask questions of any kind during the examination, if they do so, their answer papers will not be valued and their conduct will be reported to the Executive Council for disciplinary action. 9. Candidates are not allowed to use books of any kind except as provided in rule 10. They are also prohibited from bringing any material printed or otherwise except the Hall-Tickets into the examination hall. Candidates are prohibited from using such extraneous material and communicating with or copying from each other in the examination hall and communicating with any person outside the examination hall. The candidates are also prohibited from bringing Pagers and Chordless Phones into the examination hall. Any candidate found violating the instructions will be summarily sent out of the examination hall forthwith and his conduct will be reported to the Registrar. Such candidates stand the risk of all their answer papers of the examinations for which they have appeared may be rejected by the Executive Council and they may be debarred from sitting for the University examinations till the period decided by the Executive Council. The use of stencils at the University Examination is not permitted except students answering papers in Mathematics. The use of mathematical instruments while answering papers in mathematics, Engineering, Agriculture and in the Physical Sciences will be allowed. Such instruments will not be supplied by the University. 10. When candidates have finished writing their answers and wish to hand over their answer books, or at the end of the period prescribed for each particular part of the examination each should stand up at their seats and remain standing until one of the Superintendents approaches them and collects his/her answer book. Any particulars noted in the hall-tickets differing from those given in the application for the examination should be immediately reported to the Controller of Examinations, Andhra University through the Chief Superintendent concerned. 11. Candidates should bring with them their college identity cards also to satisfy the Chief Superintendents of the centres as to their identity. Srcipt Verification : The Candidates of 2009-10 admitted batch can obtain the photo copies of their Answer Scripts on payment of Rs. 500/- for each Answer Script for PG/Professional Pass Courses. The Candidates have to apply for the Photo copies of the Answer Scripts within 15 days from the date of Publication Results and after receiving the photo copy they will be permitted to apply for Revaluation within 5 days, if the candidate so desires.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES (To be retained by the Candidate) Separate application form is to be submitted for each Semester/Year-end Examination. Application for admission to this Examination must be forwarded so as to reach the Controller of Examinations as prescribed before the commencement of First Semester/year-end Examination together with D.D. in favour of the Registrar, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The Candidate should fill all the columns including appearing papers in Hall Ticket without fail. Incomplete applications will summarily be rejected. The fee once paid will, in no circumstances, be refunded or held over for a subsequent examination. The candidate must forward with his application, his attested xerox copy of diploma or other satisfactory evidence of having qualified for the M.A. or M.Com. or M.B.A. or M.Sc. or M.Sc. (Tech.) or M.L.I.Sc. or MJMC Degree in this University or of having taken a degree or a certificate in some other University accepted by the Executive Council as equivalent thereto. The degree will be returned to him whether he/she passes or fails at the Examination. The candidate must write his name including surname in full, and if an Indian, in his Mother Tongue as well as in English. A woman candidate shall add the word "woman." If a change in the name has been recognised by the University the name under which he has already been enrolled in the University should also be given. Candidates must be careful in entering their age. They should furnish the exact dates of their birth giving particulars of the day of the month on which and the year in which they were born as well as their actual age on the date of application. An entry of date of birth once made shall not be altered so far as University purposes are concerned and will have to be repeated at subsequent Examination. Candidates should enclose an evidence of the date of birth duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Principal. Candidates who passed the B.A. or B.Com. or B.Sc. or BJMC or BLISc. Degree Examination of the Andhra University should furnish the same date of birth as that given in the application for the Examination. Candidates who passed the B.A. or B.Com. or B.Sc. or BLISc. or BJMC Degree Examination of other Universities should furnish the date of birth as given by them at the time they applied for the B.A. or B.Com. or B.Sc. or BLISc. or BJMC Degree Examination of the concerned University and they should submit an extract of date of birth as noted in the application for the Examination or in the Registrars of the concerned University granted by the Registrar of that University. Other University candidates should submit the Migration Certificate and to pay Rs. 100/towards Recognition Fee and Rs. 50/- towards Entry Fee through D.D. Candidates are requested to furnish such a complete address as would ensure any communication by post reaching them without delay both in term and in vacation. Candidates who appear again for M.A./M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech.)/M.L.I.Sc./MSc.(IS) Degree under improvement of class shall pay the Improvement Fee of Rs. 100/- in addition to the prescribed examination fee. No paper-wise betterment. The betterment provision is revised from Paper-wise to Whole Examination and limited to two years period. Two chances will be counted after Pass/Class, i.e., after passing Previous and Final Year put together. Legal suits against University, if any, shall be filed in courts within the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam City only. University reserves the right of allotment of Examination Centres to individual candidates as well as colleges also. Any examination related grievance shall have to be submitted within 90 (Ninety) days from the date of publication of the result. (By Order)
