DESIGN ISSUES

In designing this building, there are 4 design issues to answer in the design; the high spread virus due to the pandemic, education, health & wellbeing, and social interaction. These issues were correlated to the school programming. During pandemic, education seems a bit darker due to the laziness being lockdown on online learning. To boost student’s mood, a fun facilities, good school design, and interaction between students should be implemented yet still consider health protocol.

SOLUTION

to finish the issues, we need the corelation between strong connection with public space, genereous green area, and borderless interaction. To limit the transmition of Covid-19 virus in school, we prioritize open air circulation and numerous apertures of in the building design.

23

in the process of creating the building, we found that what needs the most in this building is balance. Yin and yang comes to our mind when it comes to balance. Through the meanings of yin and yang which keeping the balance within 2 different things, we separate the building into 2 mass and leave many outdoor circulation spaces.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on slowing rates economic growth in Bandung. In this regard, The government said Bandung encourages MSME actors to create and innovate including the local food industry. This industry has a role of planning and in developing city’s economy, which a brand new center of culinary place should be made to bring back the economy of Bandung City. 54 PIC 5.1

DESIGN ISSUES

Pandemic Covid-19 has taken away MSME owner in Bandung and decreasing economy of Bandung. Build or rent a building cost too much money for MSME and the management is not guaranteed. Sometimes, the design has a big impact in determining crowd of visitor. Some of MSME’s place don’t consider good design both in building and process which invite less visitor. A brand new interesting design and good programming should be made to overcome this issue.

SOLUTION

to overcome this issues, there are 3 main solutions; strategic location, good design and programming, also good management of facilities. A strategic location is very important in designing a food hub. Strategic location could interest people and adapt the customer needs. Find a perfect location which could be seen from any places and in the middle of the city crowd. Good design also plays a big role in this food hub case. Adults and teenagers nowadays tend to choose places with good designand cozy to chill with friends and sometimes rather than the quality of food itself. Design an interesting place that fit to any ages. Another thing for sure a good management of facilities for the MSME. A good management and process is food hub which could provide cgood collection, storage, production, distribution, and sale. To response the covid 19 itself, this food hub provides drive thru for people who doesn’t want to go in and to make the order easier
