Evaluation I have chosen Glassy Sheers as my future trend because it is focused on sheer and knit materials that have a transparent or opaque appearance. For my shoot I chose to wear both a thick opaque grey jumper and a white sheer top with a white knit oversized cardigan, I also wore a white bandeau top to incorporate the minimalistic approach. I chose to do minimal makeup with a dewy complexion and rosy lips as my colour scheme included, light pinks, greys and deeper dusty pinks. For the location/scenery I chose to use fairy lights, and sheer fabrics to drape around me. I have targeted my magazine towards a more affluent person because of the way the images have been edited. I have kept it simple and sophisticated using a thin black border to give the images some consistency. I used Photoshop to change the ‘levels’ ‘hue/saturation’ and also the ‘exposure’ to get the affect I was looking for. On the images that feature the fairy lights I went in individually to brighten the lights giving the images a warmer/brighter look. To go with my overall concept I have chosen Luxure magazine because they are a affluent magazine who also have a more feminine appearance which is what I wanted for my photo-shoot. They're images are sleek and fashion forward which I feel fits in well with the trend I have chosen. The colour scheme that they tend to stick to for they covers are also more on the feminine side, staying quite soft. I've noticed that they tend to chose a trend, or a specific element and focus the shoot around that. They also tend to use either satin or lace materials on there cover image. In preparation for my photo-shoot I did a lot of research into different consumer groups, for example, an affluent consumer group are people who have select taste, and enjoy shopping in high stored such as Chanel, or Louis Vuitton. I researched into colour schemes, so that I was able to understand why certain are paired together and how you can create a whole new concept of a shoot just by changing the colours of your garments. I also researched Locations, garments, makeup/hair and future trends in order to figure out what I wanted my own photo-shoot to end up looking like. I knew that I wanted it to be a strictly feminine shoot with fairy lights, I also knew I wanted lightweight sheer clothing and also some heavy weight knit. I also created a call sheet for my photo-shoot indicating who was doing what jobs and what the shoot was going to entail. I did two prior experiments of hair and makeup because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do a natural dewy makeup look or stronger more heavy makeup look. However I decided the more natural makeup and curly hair suited the trend appropriately. The photo-shoot was quite successful, I got some good images that represented the trend I had chosen well. I had originally planned to do the photo-shoot at a family members house on a staircase however that could not go to plan. I feel this could have been prevented with better planning and I also would have liked to do more practice runs in more locations and then chosen the best one for the actual shoot but I am still happy with the outcome.
