HELLO !
My name is Wen Yee, but you can call me Chloe. Born in 1993 in Malaysia, I have been greatly influenced by the country’s rich cultural diversity. Currently, I work as an Interior Design Associate at Serapioni Progetti, an architecture and interior design firm based in Torino, Italy, specializing in hospitality design for the Middle Eastern market.
Over the past 3 years at Serapioni Progetti, I have taken on various roles and responsibilities, including the completion of architectural drawing sets and coordination with diverse consultants. In my 2nd year, I had the exciting opportunity to contribute to Marriott Resort project, which ignited my passion for interior design. In this project, I was primarily responsible for the concept presentation, design development, and construction drawings. Additionally, I also handled the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) selections and collaborated closely with suppliers to ensure the project is meeting client’s expectation.
Beyond my full-time role, I have also been fortunate to collaborate with various private international design firms on a part-time basis. These experiences have not only enhanced my interior design skills but have also broadened my professional horizons.
I am grateful for all the opportunities I have encountered and constantly eager to seek new experiences that foster both my professional and personal growth. I pride myself on being self-disciplined and a strong team player, as I believe that learning from diverse individuals and perspectives is essential for continuous improvement and knowledge development.

Project Summary:
Marriott Beach Resort consists of a total of 500 Guestrooms of different typologies, thematic restaurants, pool & beach bars and Spa & Gym. The resort welcomes guests with the interiors that are simple yet modern, aesthetic yet not chaotic, like the simplicity and impressiveness of the desert and marine. The curves of the desert and the sea meet the straight lines of the pyramids that form the design, providing contrasting yet elegant surfaces. Diversity and Contrast, the strongest emotion of the country, is foreseen in the finishes, where polish meets raw surfaces but always of good quality. Using textures and colours that reflect a natural, earthy palette in all areas in order to achieve a soothing & serene effect.
Executed as a collaborative effort among our team, we received a comprehensive brief & guidelines from the Marriott Team that outlined their goals, desired aesthetic, and key features for the resort. This guided our design process, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision.

Project Summary:
Bwejuu Resort is a beachfront resort comprised of 10 Clusters with a total of 150 guestrooms, Spa and Thematic Restaurants. The vision was to re-imbed some Arabic origin in overall design as Zanzibar has long history with the Arabic community. Thus, the inspiration for the resort is a mix of Arabic style and Zanzibar style to merge with the cultural heritage of Zanzibar. Architectural design will be based on african style while having arabic touches as decors, domes and arches to evoke arabic heritage. The main material of the facades, would be white stone with embedded geometrical voids and wood. Furthermore, the openings will be slightly arc as many Arabic monuments and as well as being more of a simplistic facade. Our goal was to create a resort that aligns with the client’s vision of luxury and sustainability, while embracing the unique cultural and natural beauty of Zanzibar. Throughout the design process, we presented our concepts and sought feedback at each stage. This approach ensured that we remained aligned with the client’s expectations, allowing us to refine our ideas based on their input.

Project Summary:
With the reoccupation of the garage space, the open space turns into a public “living room”, showcasing cars . Being everything all at once, the space is transformable from a Cafe and Car Servicing Space to Car Launch Event, Parties; hosting different scenario easily. The space is separated with mezzanine floor, highlighted with a central staircase.
The idea is to elevate the existing industrial site ambience with the balance of old & new language in space while playing with different shades & textures of grey as a clean backdrop for car display. The upper mezzanine is inspired by the industrial and retro style, furnish with rough and contrasting delicate texture. Complementing with atmospheric bar lighting and lightly appointed with vintage mid-century modern furniture, allowing oneself to be immerse with the atmosphere. The space is rendered in shades of caramel and burnt orange with the atmospheric lights and leather upholstery. This project was a collaborative effort with the talented team at POI Studio, where we worked together to create an innovative and functional space. In this project, focused specifically on the design of the ground floor, pop up space and the banquette seating zone. Working alongside the POI team allowed for a dynamic exchange of ideas, leading to a cohesive and well-rounded design solution.

Master Thesis Project (Revit)
Project Summary:
This thesis project aims to explore the pontentiality of the marginal spaces spreaded around the city and the possible interventions that could be executed. The main idea of the design is to integrate modular, easy assembed & dismantled, light and multipurpose structure into the site in order to change the original settings A mutual relation exists between margin and line, the center piece of this site redevelopment- suspended walkway acts as the line that creates connection in between the marginal spaces (courtyard), along with other interventions. The courtyard is designed to create a new public zone with small amphitheatre function, to house performance area or small local market, equipped with modular furniture that can be stacked or arranged based on user’s need. Above the public ground, is the private walkway (Sky Avenue) for the existing residents that leads to Flow Park - a park with lavish green zone, equipped with light structure that can be used as playground or exercising zone. The walkway functions more than just a passageway to the park/or from the house. With pockets of wider, open spaces, it also caters for communal gathering and socializing.

Master Design Project (Revit)
Project Summary:
The Commons aims to preserve the local essence of the place & at the same time bring local community together by prioritizing local habits, activities & user’s familiarity towards the site. The master plans were started with similar approaches where the building & view axis around the site are drawn to have an idea on how to place the blocks, and then create the possible connection to the existing buildings & site, without making drastic change to its circulation and also to place the building blocks following the existing zoning of the site. For both projects, the concept comes from the definition of social places, where users meet and interact, the chinese culture attributes fundamental role to the street as place of sociality, while the European on the hand, treat square as their community space. The flexibility of spaces are incorporated in order for each space to have the possibility to be versatile even during the emergency period. The idea of farming, small pocket green area/co-living social area are adopted in both sites to help achieve a self- supply neighbourhood.
