Cotswold Farm Park Fun Ride

Last weekend, over 300 riders picked up their reins as they headed to Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park Fun Ride and explored the Gloucestershire estate.

With a golden, autumnal backdrop and 10 miles of rolling Cotswold landscape to ride, the 2-day event was the perfect opportunity for both horses and riders to ride at their pace around the wider farmland. Riders of all abilities, including lead reins, were welcomed to the farm and had the option of a long (10 miles) short (7 miles) and lead rein route.

The scenic ride included a great variety of terrain, including stretches of grass gallops, woodland trails and clear waters of the river Windrush. Riders enjoying the route also had an array of optional fences to jump, with something to suit both beginners and more experienced riders.

Georgia Weaver joined the ride on Sunday morning and shared “I’m competing my horse this season, so the fun ride’s long route, open space and jumps were just what I needed to get him ready for his next competition. I’ve done the fun ride several times before and enjoy having such a great facility right on my doorstep.”

Accompanied by Charlotte Evans who added “I had a fantastic time on the ride at the weekend! It was the first time I’d jumped cross country jumps, so it was exciting to have the chance to jump along the route, as well as have lots of space to give the horses a gallop. The route was clearly signposted, uncrowded and in beautiful surroundings!” Cotswold Farm Park’s Fun Ride is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and has regular events throughout the year. With a photographer on route, complimentary hot drinks and rosettes for every rider, the ride is a popular destination for equestrians from across the UK.
